Here is the completed OO Scale 1/76 Railway water tank kit. First released by Kit Master in 58 then picked up by Airfix and finally sold to Dapol. It's still in production 55 years later! The kit is close to a Great Western Railway prototype; similar styles could be found throughout the UK and elsewhere. Some tanks were even mounted on a brick or stone base. I painted it in a 1950's era austerity British Railway gray.

Steph, very nice fire engine, I've passed the kit up in the past but your work has me thinking that it would be a fun kit.

My launch is on the slipway awaiting it's final fittings and paint. I hope to be able to finish it this weekend but I keep misplacing bits, I don't have a carpet monster but a concrete monster who's appetite is as unsatiable as his hairy brother.

Given that I'm probably going to need the extension as well, let's say April 15th for our unofficial extension. That should allow for ripping parts from the grip of the carpet monster

I'm really liking the variety of finished models this time around.

Sounds like a plan, Jessica. I know I can use a little extra time as well. We Americans can get our models & taxes done by the same day!

Thank you for this early Easter present. I am nearly complete on the Whaleback but keep losing bits to the concrete monster and waiting for paint to dry.

I hope 2 weeks is enough. We're headed to the paint hanger tonight for the base coat, RAF Dark Sea Gray (Grey?)

got my whirlwind finished last week, took these pics a couple of days ago -

and one in "flight"-

my only disappointment with this kit is the upper wing and fuselage codes have got a case of the silvers, even though i gave it two coats of kleer beforehand.

*edit* i've put three pics in the campaign gallery also.

The official end date has come and gone, so I've had a look through the gallery and awarded the Airfix II ribbon to everyone who has a model in there. If you've finished but not got your ribbon, it's probably because your model's not there so do please take a moment to pop over to the gallery and put your pictures up for everyone to enjoy

So, can we still post completed pics in the gallery before April 15th?

Mr Man is now glued to his horsie

I still have to hang a bunch of things from belts and drape them all over him but the finish is now in sight

I have a problem which I have asked on another thread but received no reply. My upload limit has nearly been reached on photos and I wa t to remove some of the unused ones from my store but can find no way of removing them from there. Is there a way I can 'edit' my photos in any way?

The 'Whaleback' is reaching the last stretch, all the main painting is complete, the bridge has been fitted as have storage boxes and the mast. I have yet to glue the main cabin to the deck as I still have to glaze this and add a few items. Once fitted I need to rig the aerials and finally glue the deck to the hull.

Yes there is, but it has to be done one at a time. Go to your gallery space (click "My Photos" on the top left) and then click on the photo you want to delete. Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the line of icons below the picture. The "Edit" icon is the one with a pencil in front of a little blue square, 5th from the left. Click on that, and on the next page right above the "Submit changes" button you'll find the delete option. Check the tickybox and your photo will be deleted. Repeat as necessary

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! And it's not the headlamp of an oncoming train (I hope).

The fuselage is finialy decaled:

All that's left are wings & wheels (that sounds like a bad reality show).

Jessie, great modeling. It's good to see the Airfix figures assembled. I have a few that I picked up at a yard sale. Will have a go at them some day.
