Well D. that is what I have looked like since September 2009 and tomorrow I go in for more surgery to remove more bone so as to make room for dentures

So just call me grumpy, since I have not been able to eat any zombie burgers for that long

I have your back though D. I will be full of pain killers and ready to go and take it out on some nasty/unlucky ghoul. Hey! Herman is not a bad leader of the apocolyptic world, in a pinch especially since he has soooo!!!!! many zombie kills/scalps on his belt

The Casca series was pretty good especially early on. Sadler began having the books ghost written early in the series and as it went on he gave less and less input on them. Incidentally, my great uncle actually knew Sadler. He was with the 5th SF during Nam.
I think I'll hit the attic in the morning before it gets hot and see what I have stockpiled away. I might find some inspiration. There's a couple of books that come to mind but I don't recall their titles.
mgautreaux, Don't the Slammers just scream at you to be modeled? There are some small scale kits out there for wargaming just to take a look at.
Robert, good luck on the oral surgery. The old bitter beer face went out of style a few years ago. Not to overly tempt karma....so seriously good luck.

All right....took the plunge and joined this one....looks as though everyone is gonna love this one.....just have to learn how to post pics and such. Gonna do a old Revell 1/32 snap-fast mustang turned into a "Road warrior" type of car!!!! 0 - 60 dead zombies in 4.3 seconds!!!!! oh.....by the way, isn't "Zombie" a little politically incorrect? Shouldn't we call them "Living impaired" or Corpsis-American (French, German, Russian, etc, etc....). Just asking......

I am nailing down my zombie defense boat idea a little further. I am thinking on basing it on a WWII Schnellboot. I just have to decide whether to buy and modify the daylights out the 1/72 kit from revell or just scratch it all.
Making a hull that big from scratch might be character building. The most tempting part of the kit is actually the AA guns, but I could easily scratch a few M2 .50 cal machine guns. I will probably just scratch it all complete with 2 or 3 M2s and 1 or 2 20mm cannons becuase you can never be too well armed.
So many options........

David, the Schnellboot sounds good and will give Herman and Damian a little added support for their excursions into the wet interior of zombie land.

Just back from holiday in the west of Ireland, and I'm inspired by the surf.

Gonna need some fast boats for waterskiing too.

Yes I drunk several pints of it. It's the black stuff with a creamy head, right? That should keep the brain rust out.

Well I did some math and discovered that my 1/72 zombie defense boat idea measured out to be like 17 inches long, way too big for my shelf. 1/144 might work. I will have to do some measuring first though.
If all else fails I can either make a smaller boat or do it in 1/350. Part of me wants to do it in 1/700 but it would be ridiculously small at that scale..

I understand I went through 3 differant scales before I got my "HELL WAGON"(my fingers in the air in quotations)down to a manageble size.I figured it might be to big when the nighbors were looking at me funny.Thats when I discovered the 5 ft.tires I was rolling into the garage might be over doing it a little.

Yeah, but it'd make a helluva toy for the bathtub!

I sort of had an idea of using the Revell PT-109 as a base and uparmoring it......
Jackhammer, just sit back and read some zombie books and watch some zombie movies like the rest of us. August will be here before ya know it......after that I can't make any promises about our health or sanity.

Is this campaign only for builds starting in august, or is it possible to join with a build in progress?
If it can't be modified, then what's the point?
