Need to run something by you guys.

I'm using an M60 bridge layer as the base (my guys cut off the bridge equip). So here's my issue, I have 2 external fuel tanks from the 1/35 academy blackhawk that I want to strap to the sides of the vehicle to hold diesel. Are these held onto the helo with "U-bolts" like other external stores?

I'll also have to deal with them moving around. I'm guessing putting some sort of bumpers between the armor and the tanks and then running some netting or something around them to keep them somewhat still (so they don't bounce around too much and punch a hole in the side).

Are these tanks fairly solid? I'd guess they are since folks shoot at the helos that they're attached to.

And we're still starting Aug 1 right?

John, I think you shouldn't have any problems. First, the tanks you're refering to are part of the " UTTAS" system. The tanks put-up with a lot of vibration and stress. The tanks should have mounting lugs similar to bombs, rockets, etc. The mounting point is just like a pair of "vis-grips" with a servo-solnoid for actuation.

Good to know.

These should give my track plenty of range.

I can't wait to get started on this thing!

Michael, as D. stated welcome to the dark side. We need every available soul to help in keeping life on earth safe from the zombie horde.

Great! I've got a '66 El Camino kit that's been gathering dust that will finally get to live. Now if I can only scratch a .50 HB in 1/24th scale...

Nope, just working 70 to 80 hours per week. My lovely government is spending money like crazy and someone has to eventually pay the bills.
Besides, squirrel season here is from October to January. $500.00 fine if you get caught chasing them with a lighter this time of year.

. Did something get lost there. Anyway, I may have some bad news about staying in the campaign. No excuses but I may have to bale, and retry a late start. Sorry "Cuda, Reg. If in two more weeks things don't level off I'm out. I rather do it before the start and face the heat than come off as a DNS ( do not show) Again, sorry guys!!

I'd like to find some 1/35 folks in suits and dresses (funeral attire) to attack my vehicle, or at least be staggering toward it.

We've got to have a few zombies. What's the availability on 1/35 civilians? "I" scale in model railroads are about 1/32. Even if I need to shorten arms, legs, torso to get them around 1/35 that shouldn't be an issue after tearing up the clothing a bit.

Hello!

Finished a week ago this alternative history figure from 1948 Berlin... Hope you like it!

(the story and the pic from an unpainted fig was on the Change those troops! campaign, which haven't started yet, but put it in there just for fun because I didn't notice this campaign )

"It's year 1948 and Germany has been declared to a waist zone due to the nuclear devastation of year 1946 and has been surrounded with allied forces blocking all traffic in and out. There is still some groups left fighting with each others, but the land is so wasted that everyone has to wear heavy lead protection gear."

Pics are small for me as well. You can right click the thumbnail and View Image and they'll open in larger form. Go back and the small pic will be big at least for me on Firefox. They don't stay big though.

As far as the pix they have a definite Fallout quality to them. Neat little story behind them.

On a side note, I got another little toy in the mail the other day. SO now I have a backup plan for the campaign if my halftrack based trader/scavenger vehicle proves to be more than I bargained for. Probably will still use the new kit for some End of Days-esque subject.

Damn! Wish I could find something like that in 1/24 scale.

BTW, just over a month before the blood starts to flow ladies. Maybe I'll get a few more hours at the bench by then.

Hi Hermon,

I have quick question for you about your campaign.

I was thinking of joining your campaign a couple of days ago and the same day my wife found this for me at a garage sale for 25 cents.

Is it ok with you if I use some of the items that are already started? I personally have not done any work on them and don't plan on it until the actual start date. I am sure I can piece something together out this stuff and add some armor plating, a snow plow, barbed wire and/or other such cool stuff.

Thanks,

HARV
