Aussie . . . obvious.

Reg comes from some drunken university shenanigans that resulted in a mini moke upside down on a sand dune, after which I became "Reg the Wrecker"

Cheers, Damian

For those familiar with Canadian Regiments, I served as a gunner with the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery - hence my callsign "horsegunner".

When I was younger I used to use my mother's maiden name (Poniatowski, for males) as my surname and a, because my real surname reminded the other kids of a famous German "politician"., and I was sick and tired of all the jokes.

After a rough ride towards a festival I earned the nickname 'Vomitowski', wich I also used on websites like Myspace etc.

But after a year or so, I wanted something else and came up with Paulski, with Paul being my name, and 'ski' to make it sound Polish

mine's quite simple and unimaginative, Jason - my first name, Bee the letter my surname starts with - B, and 71 - the year I was born 1971. Which is Jasonbee71, quite simple really.

"Fermis", is a unit of measurment, equal to one quadrillionth of a meter. I got the nickname from an old girlfriend, back in the day. It has stuck with me. It's kinda like callin a fat guy "Tiny", but in another way....kinda

Tank was a nickname given to me early in my military career. I had enlisted when I was 17 and had not finished growing yet, I was 5' 7" and a whopping 128 pounds when I graduated Basic and AIT. I was a commo guy in an infantry line company- a grunt with a PRC-77 radio. I was the CO's RTO. During one field exercise, my ruck was packed full with my gear, the PRC-77, a spool of field wire and a field telephone strapped to it. The XO saw me, this little guy with a ruck that weighed almost as much as I did and called me "Tank" because it was an oxymoron and because I could hump alot of gear for a guy my size. The 178 is for the infantry regiment I was in before I commissioned. I am now a Field Artillery officer and a "redleg" but choose to keep using Tank178 out of nostalgia.

"Gorizont" is the russian word for "horizon" and is (as can be seen in the image) a (communication)-satellite.
My other interest is soviet/russian space and their satellites and probes of one special launch-vehicle. (the Proton-rocket)

So I modeled some satellites, spacecraft and a lot of Proton-rockets in scale 1/1 using 3D-software for a later "mechanised fabrication" in smaller scales.
My ideas were to make my own model-kits using one of the "rapid-prototyping"-techniques.
I made some "it could look like this" images, which look very real!

The small image shows the satellite-model.

greetings...

I like German military items and the history of the Wehrmacht. Watched the movie War Hammer..... And just thought what the German translation would be. I think the correct term should be 'Kriegshammer' instead of Krieg-hammer.

Middle_Franconian is the English translation for "Mittelfranke", the inhabitant of Middle Franconia (which is an administrative region in Bavaria, Germany). That´s where I live, approx. 20 kms south of Nuremberg.

Well mine came about by accident. We were jumping with the German in 99 I was in 3/325. They were on the first pass and when we came across the DZ and came out birds they started shooting star clusters. Next thing I know one is coming for me soo I pull a riser and run smack dab into this FA 1SG. When we get to the ground he said I hit him like a snotin Skyshark. So the nickname just stuck. Crazy Germans

Mine is easy to figure out. While in Japan to pass the time of deployment I built models. My roommates thought it was funny to call the parts tree sprues. and one night someone called out Cpl Sprue and the name stuck. As I got promoted so did the name! lol....

Well, my screen name i come up is the special love i have for the T-34.
I like russian armor and other russian stuff becouse it looks ''raw and simple''.
I have a lot of books about the T-34 and still collecting them as we speak.
The need to know everything about this vehicle is high

My avatar is a photo of the first T-34 i made.

Regards,

Remco
