Mine is real simple, name Brian Soderstrum hence bsoder, way back when I started doing stuff on the 'net I had different screen names and passwords and soon discovered I was really making things difficult for myself trying to remember what went where this way if I forget my name, I probably wont be on the computer anyway

It comes from one of my favorite charactors, in my favorite military Sci-fi book. "A Small Colonial War" By Robert Frezza

I saw that there is a Treadhead here. Treadhead12 - the number 12 is my day of the month of my birthday and a lucky number for me.

Armor modeling since 1966 and still going. I have was able to keep my first 1/35th scale T-34/85 I put together in 1971. The rest went to plastic valhalla.

I have been interested in armor since I was 10 years old, that got me into the military on tanks. Even if treadhead may not be a good name for a tanker, it fits me, I am a treadhead.

Though bears are my favorite animal I got my nickname in Junior High football, my coach bestowed the title on me due to my size and attitude and it has stuck ever since! I'm 6'7, 323 pounds and still mean when provoked,my wife even calls me grizz on occasion.

Some years ago, a good friend and colleague of mine (apparently one of those people who just has to come up with a nickname for everyone he knows) just started calling me "Uproar", based on my real name. "Hmmmm....", I thought to myself, "that could make a good screen name, for whenever I might need one for an online forum." I have used it frequently ever since.

Mine (Whiskey6) came from the first actual tactical call sign I was assigned in VietNam. I was in Whiskey Battery, 1st battalion, 11th Marines....and I was the Battery Commander - the "Six"........therefore "Whiskey 6".

CMOT stands for "Cut My Own Throat".

I'm a fan of the Terry Pratchett Discworld stories and one of the long running characters in those books is the dodgy sausage inna bun seller called "CMOT Dibbler". That was an obvious EBAY name for me, and i've just gone on using it for other sites as well.

My brother used to get in terrible trouble years ago for answering the phone “Pigsty - Duty Pig speaking”. I’ve no idea where that came from but I always promised myself that if I ever started a business (as if!) I’d call it that, just so that the staff would have to answer the phone with “Pigsty - Duty Pig speaking”. The nearest I’ve got is my birthday card production line, which isn’t a business but does take up an amazing amount of time. Possible something wrong there? Anyway, I go by the name Pigsty Productions for that, and it’s spread into my on-line activities too.

If anyone wants pea-based birthday cards …

Kinda weird (and cool at the same time) replying to a post that started over 4 years ago. No real secret to my callsign. I live in Iowa (IA) USA and I am a newbie to modeling (Novice).

Read your Pratchett. Detritus is big and slow, and not nearly as dumb as he seems!

My screen name origin is pretty dull - first 3 letters of my first name and last 3 of my family name.

Well, as you can see my screen name comes after the initials of my name and my surnames : ANgel MOrales GArcia.

Yes, in Spain we have two surnames: the first one from the first of the father and the second one from the first of the mother)

Mine is relatively simple. It used to be BroncoLC. You can find me on many other sites with that name. Now it is JeepLC. I used to drive a 96 fullsized Ford Bronco. Gave her up after 300K for a newer 97 Jeep TJ wrangler. Voila, new 4x4, new name!

Muttley was the snickering-laughing dog of Dick Dastradly from the old "Wacky Races" and later on "Flying Machines" cartoons of the 60's-70's.

I have also named my yellow lab whos in my avatar Muttley because he does resemble the cartoon character in ways of imposing destruction and eventualy ending into disastrous failure on himself and his master.
