As modellers, apart from building bigger piles of brightly-colored boxes containing various models, we are also great consumers of products such as glues or paints. In this report from the Nuremberg Trade Show, i'll be bringing some information of new ranges and some expansion within existing ones...

NIMIX Miniatures, the spanish manufacturer, introduces a new line production on its catalogue: Metal gun barrels!
Also, NIMIX is announcing new resin accessories for 54mm figures...

Spanish manufacturer Toro Models recently released a new 2006 catalogue. You can find new 1:48 and 54mm figures, new 1:35 and 1:48 dioramas and also new 1:35 accesories, and finally a new impresive bust which won a gold medal at the Leon Rampante Show).

As there are stories all over the forums of the various releases announced at Nuremeberg, the idea of this story is to summarize (with the help of the lists produced by (I.P.M.S. Deutschland) the new releases in Warships, Aviation and Armor. What I will be doing is creating a list of some of the genuinely NEW items.. Looking at some manufacturers lists, I really wonder if they have any pride left....

I will not be covering DML (armor), or Italeri (warships or Armor) as these have been adequately covered in the News section....

I make no apologies for this news story - i've always been a huge fan of emergency vehicles of all types. This has been on Trumpeter's front-page for a number of weeks and now we can bring you the images of a very attractive new release....

Verlinden Productions have recently announced their February 2006 releases. Last month I commented on the growing number of 1:48 scale releases from Verlinden (which is not necessarily a bad thing), this month the 1:48 scale new releases actually outnumber the 1:35 scale releases!

Verlinden Productions have recently announced their January 2006 releases. Once again it is a compact mixed bag for both 1:48 and 1:35 scale modellers. I find it interesting to note the growing number of 1:48 scale releases, and must compliment VP on their capitalization of another well-known manufacturer's decision to break into the 1:48 scale market.

Osprey Publishing's January 2006 releases leaves me feeling a bit like a time-traveller, as their latest releases take us from Bronze Age Mesopotamia, to Classical period Ancient Greece, to the 1st Century AD Roman Emprire, to 16th Century Russia, and ending in the WW2 Pacific theatre with the Doolittle Raid and US Submarines.

Established in 1996, Italian company Model Victoria specialize in Italian 1/35th scale military and historical replicas - particularly the largely ignored subject of Italian WWII armed forces!

Mig Productions continue to bring us a series of interesting releases. This month, three new releases - two for the armor modeller and one for the diorama builder. The latter is going to have a multitide of applications for armor and warship dios in 1/35th scale....

Once again, Osprey Publishing has a list of new books for many different tastes and interests. Going from Berlin of 1945 to U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers, once again, Osprey is offering an excellent selection of books with both the modeller and military enthusiast in mind...

Now the annual Japan Plamodel and Radicon Show has finished, it is perhaps useful, to go back and take a look at some of the highlights. There were certainly some significant announcements although sadly, I don't have all the information I would wish for in Warship and Aviation releases...

The key to a succesful book on modelling is primarily accessibility. Far too many books are 'pitched' at 'expert/master' level, to be of much use to the 'average' modeller. One of the real success stories in recent years has been an initiative by Osprey Publishing of a series which has received much attention in the modelling world - The Osprey Modelling Series. The coming months will see a significant expansion of these useful books...

Once again the latest offering from Verlinden Productions can be summarized in a single news article. Although I's nice to see another model company on the 1/48 band-wagon, let's hope Verlinden can bring something less mediocre to the table...

It's been a couple of months since Korean firm Legend Productions announced any new releases - they are now back announcing a new release per series.

Many members may have heard the name ICM whispered in the hallowed virtual halls and passage ways of Armorama.com. Herewith follows a brief background on the Ukrainian company and a roundup of their 2005 new releases to date.

Time was, that when posting news of Verlinden's future releases, it was necessary, to do a series of reports covering each of the areas. Sadly, this no longer seems to be the case...

A few months ago, I ran the story that Airfix were going to be re-releasing many of their more 'sought-after' items, in particular, the MULTI-POSE 1/32nd scale figure sets. Now comes confirmation about the release dates...

This year (2005) Osprey is bringing back almost all of it's Out of Print titles. February 2005 saw the arrival of the first batch of previously unavailable titles, and a second batch will be available from April 10, 2005.

In my first news story of the new year, it seems appropriate to cover the new releses of a company which has influenced many modellers, sculptors and designers - Verlinden Productions. While many companies seem to have fallen by the wayside, Verlinden is still there, bringing out new releases on a monthly basis...
