You can change that in your personal account. You can pick a variety of ranks from different countries. You don't have to be an officer!! :-)

As the profile says US Navy First Class Petty Officer. Damage Controlman type at your service. Last ship was LSD, ship before was a FLIGHT IIa DDG ( the Donald Cook DDG75,) been an instructor for a few years though and loved it. Now just run a repair shop for a command in the mid-atlantic region. I also worked for a bit in the P3 comunnity(almost forgot been so long.) Funny the onl;y thing Navy I do is naval aviation, but spend alot of time on Armor. STUG

This subject has come up before -- lots of current and former service members on the forum.
I grew up an Army brat. I was active Army for 15 years as a photojournalist, a couple years in the Army Guard (slotted as an artillery ammo chief, but actually working as assistant admin/operations/training/supply sergeant -- whoever needed help). I finished up in uniform in the Army Reserves as a photojournalist for Soldiers magazine. Now I'm an Army civilian at Fort Leavenworth -- still serving, just not in uniform anymore.
