Rip, so far my plans for this one at least, are hopefully going to be anti-building and for.....removing things from the air. I will hopefully have some other goodies stored in the back for anti-personnel type situations. Once I get the "story" worked out a little better. I may even do a second vehicle used for street "clean-up".... I'll just have to wait and see

Zombies~Aliens~Zombies~Aliens......who says you can't have both?

After building the bigger box for my 55', Dragon suggested that I could use the smaller box to construct a vehicle for an outrunner. Here is a sketch that I come up with at school during the 4 hours between classes, and when I came home tonight I put some of the sketch to use.

hi everyone,

i was floating by the forums and wondered what "EOD" would mean and low and behold... this campaign is what i've been planning in my brain for the last few weeks.

see, i usually jump back and forth between sci-fi and armour. i'm nearly done my Jagdpanther Diorama and wanted to make a big, mean near-future military truck set in a post apocalyptic diorama with one or two custom sculpted figures.

problem is there's no such kit. okay i said, i'll just scratchbuild the whole truck only using stock wheels from a kit and maybe some spare parts from the tickle trunk. and now seeing this campaign made me think "maybe i'm not nuts, look there's a whole bunch of people doing it too."

so i've enlisted. i've got a picture in my head and the desire to make something cool... oh and a knife and some glue. everything else is still up in the air. will post something when the knife and glue have cut and stuck something together.

cheers, mh.

Welcome MH, to my nightmare !! The zombies are everywhere, VonCuda has confiscated the keys to the liquor cabinet and I've run out of bourbon, Justin is trying to sell those 49c burritos on the black market for $5 each to try to fund some more Evergreen stock, Bob (Bigrip74) wants us to call him RIP, so he's just given up, Bob (Old Dragon) wants us to call him OD, so he's obviously taken to some contraband, you might just be our last hope mate.

I don't want to put any pressure on you though.

True, True, Justin did not say anything regarding the selling of his burritos. I only stated that they were smelling. I am not Resting In Peace (RIP), no such thing here on the fringes of LA all kinds of wierdo zombies

Here is my first in-progress photo of my project for this campaign.

I decided to just go strictly with the police car instead of kit bashing it with some of the other parts cars that I have. I have painted the hood, left front fender and right side rear passenger door different colors to make it look as if other vehicles were used to repair the police car. I also made two of the rims different colors. I like to think that the survivor(s) wanted the police car due to the police package, the engine, the spot lights on the light bar, etc. I made the snowplow type of blade for the front out of sheet styrene and simply added it to the push bar. The shotgun came with the kit however I made the crossbow, baseball bat, machete, meat cleaver and propane bottle and weed burner from scratch. The weed burner looks a little too big so I might go back and scale it down some. I figure that the zombie killers just grabbed what was available for weaponry. I plan on adding bars to all of the windows and windshield. I was going to use mesh but I think the bars would look a little cooler. I am also going to added hatches to the roof, one in front of the light bar and one behind it to give people a place to fight from. I will just simply cut out square areas and add simple hinges and latches.

Anyway that is where I am at for now.

Thanks,

Harv

HARV,
I like the propane torch nice touch. A good flame thrower is always a good choice for crowd control

MH, people have been known to think that way{truck build}...just a few of us! Oh...we're all nuts here...come join in on the fun! I hope your truck is another semi build, but anything will do here really.
