Since there's no "edit" or "delete" buttons, I can only - with much chagrin - admit that I didn't realize Mike was still logged on when I posted. So this post was actually *mine*.

Sorry...apparently I had a 'blonde' moment. #:-)

MONDO

First of all my real name is Ramon. I like punk rock. Bands like the Ramones, Sex Pistols, UK Decay........ of course The Clash.

Ramones had an album called Mondo Bizzaro. But adding Bizzaro was quite long.

Following Mondo's music related reply, I guess I'll give the origin of Voodoochild.

I was listening to Jimi Hendrix when I signed up; I wanted to avoid using my usual edcarman and Voodoochild just sprang to mind as a unique user name. (If I'd been listening to Blur, I might have been Beetlebum, or god forbid Ms. Spiers and Hitme - SHUDDER)

Cheers
Ed

Ciao everyone,
this has been a very interesting thread, indeed. My name can be easily explained. Operation Husky being the invasion of Sicily in 1943, that lead to the liberation of the Island, that lead to a forged alliance between Italy and the US, which lead to the presence of American naval forces on the island, which lead to me being stationed there, which lead to me meeting wife, who is from there, which lead to us marrying and having two children, which has ultimately lead to my happiness. See, easily explained.

Besides, I've had this handle since my days back in the forums of "Achtung Panzer."

Happy 4th of July everyone
Ciao for now

The story behind my screen nameis from when I played football at the Univeristy Of Manitoba. In which the team is named the Bisons. The guys called me Buffalo Bob since I usually bulled my way in to the offensive line like a charging buffalo.

I just figured this topic. My nickname is coming from the GI JOE series mysterious guy called Snake Eyes that i liked him very much when I was young. You can also take the name as the one of the bomb.

I love playing WW2 computer games like Battlefield 1942 and Call of Duty and I was apart of a clan (Team) that primarily played as the Axis. I went to a website with a German name Generator and picked a German name that I liked and it was Keiser.

So I've always use this name since then.

I figured my screen name should represent the kind of modeling that I'm interested in, so that's where I get Armorguy from.

Vadster - just Darth Vader basically (from Star Wars in casr anyone doesn't know who Darth Vader is) no story to tell other than a friend I had back 16 years ago came up with the saying "don't mess with the Vadster" and I have used it as an alias ever since I had to come up with one.

Well, my real name is William Day so i used the phonetic (i think that is the correct name for it) alphabet to create the initials of my name. William = Whiskey, Day = Delta

Not rocket science but appropriate towards my subject of modeling

I believe in the 60 or 70's there was a cartoon call a "Tobar".... I'm not sure of that, some 45ish guy told me that.....
but mostly I remember that Radio Shack had a remote control robot, the Called "Tobar",,,, Robot spelled backwards..... My friend in my neighborhood started to call me "Tobar", a nickname short for "Thomas".....I added the "A" to the spelling to sound more cohearent.

The boys in the ranks gave that name to me. I guess it had something to do with me saying mother *#@%^$ all the time. And to this day, i'm still called that. I kinda like it.

Lt Drader, was the commander of one of D Companies' tanks during the battle of Flers, the first-ever tank action in the First World War.

He appears in the film 'Battle of the Ancre and the advance of the tanks', passing his black cat in through the sponson door before boarding.

The combination of cats and First World War tanks led me to pick Drader, even though we aren't related.

That's easy...11C or 11Charlie was my MOS (military occupational specialty) when I was in the Army...spent so much time teaching "Joe" how to be a mortarman it's in my blood...just proud of what I did, so now I use that as my screen name...

...the license plates for my truck read ABN11C...which stands for Airborne 11C(mortarman) and their on veteran plates which we can get here in Ohio...a whole lot of info on one license plate if you know what your looking at...and those who served do...their the ones who count...
