Well, while true that there is still speculation and venting- type posts, there are numerous positive ones of restitution.IMO,the scale of this episode is just too widespread to "lay it to rest".I greatly sympathize with those that lost money to the man.I consider myself lucky that I did not do any dealings with him as I probably would have if he had asked! So,from that point of view, this is appearing as a web 'reality event' that is continuing to play out towards an unknown ending.Good, bad,or indifferant,it is very much of interest.I sincerly hope that full restitution is made to everyone involved and that Bryan finds resolution in fixing the cause of all this behavior.

As this thread no longer seems to be serving the interests of the afected parties and is adopting its own 'dynamic' , wouldn't it be better to lay it to rest? I have noticed that fewer and fewer of Bryan Grey's 'victims' have been posting either..Jim

Jim I am one of the affected and wish it to remain open...who knows pigs may fly and Bryan may reply to his rip off victims :-)

besides it is doing no harm!

cheers

Jim, I have followed this thread with some trepidation. Posting performs a valuable service in alerting potential victims to rip off merchant.
I will come straight out now & say I don't know this Bryan guy, & I never buy anything on ebay, & this is the reason. I understand that a "dodgy dealer" can be branded as such by being given negative feedback, although of course there is nothing to stop him reregistering as someone else. If however he has been scamming people through Armorama, I am deeply shocked. We are supposed to be a fraternity of modellers & doing the dirty on your mates is about as low as a person can get.
A lot of dealing of whatever sort depends a lot on trust, whatever & however you are dealing. We trust the guy we're buying a 2nd hand car off not to rip us off, & in the same way there's a lot of trust involved in buying £100 worth of kits on the 'net. Anyone who misuses or compromises this trust does us all a disservice.
I don't know all the facts & I'm not going to sit in judgement on this guy, but let's face it, no one can be that unlucky with the post, the percentages are against it. The fact he won't reply here just confirms it for me.

I'm a victim and I don't want to see this thread finished, it's of great interest to me what anyone has got to say.
There are things I'd love to hear, one is that we're getting our money back or that the authorities have caught up with him. The others I won't mention.
I am still as bitter about this as the day I found out about it all.

His victims may not all be posting here but you can bet they're reading it, as is Gray.

If people are no longer interested then don't read this thread. Leave it to those of us who are

Vic

P.S. Interest? This post has been viewed nearly 13,000 times. There's plenty of interest

The only way to let this not so popular guy know that there are still people on the hunt for him is to keep this topic open.
It can only be closed when everybody who's involved in this major rip off is refunded, so Bryan show us they money.
With not responding in this topic he really shows that he's guilty.

Well, like I have posted before, it's been almost 8 months since I got taken and still no word from Bryan about my refund. I honestly don't think I'll get one, but there is always a little hope.

This afternoon I received a communication from Vincent Proulx of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, in a response to several complaints I made last year.
The mail read as follows:

Dear Sir,
Please be advised that the RCMP has addressed your complaints against Mr. Bryan Gray. In November 2005, Mr. Gray was met by RCMP investigators of the Commercial Crime Section concerning these complaints of fraud. During the interview, Mr. Gray admitted to having made an honest mistake and promised to fully reimburse all complainants.

Please be advised that the RCMP will not be pursuing charges against Mr. Gray and the files are hereby concluded.

I take it from this that all persons owed by Bryan, will eventually be repaid if they haven't been already.

Vinnie

Intersting.. Going back to your post in this thread dated 23 November 2005.. You have recieved your money probably in response to the visit from the RCMP. Please dont get my wrong Vinnie, I am happy you have been reimbursed.. But I think that the rest of us will be left out in the cold..

I would hazard a guess that Gray has told the RCMP he is going to make restitution and they in return have told him the matter will not be pursued any further. Now he is basically free to ignore the rest of the people he stole from.....

Karma Bryan, karma. Or whatever your name is..

Dave

Mr. Gray admitted to having made an honest mistake

Honest mistake? I'm not sure if this is a quaint twist of the English language, but I hardly see how this whole string of rip-offs can be called an "honest mistake." Mistake -- yes. Honest???

In my world, an "honest mistake" is something like forgetting to put something in the mail, or accidentally deleting an e-mail. From what's been said here, Bryan strung people along with a series of excuses and outright lies. Nothing "honest" about that.

I once respected this guy and considered him an on-line friend. I looked forward to meeting him some day at a model contest or convention. Now, I have no use for the man.

I did complete one successful trade with him, then procrastinated with a couple other deals -- for once I think my procrastination paid off.

So maybe we have to file the same complaint with RMCP again, I won't stop before I get my money back.
HONEST mistake, I don't think he know's what this means.
The hunt goes on.

Vinnie would you happen to have a phone number or an E-mail for Officer Proulx ...I think it is time I gave him a call and actually showed him this post ...I think the innocent mistake will turn into something a bit more serious... I've e-mailed Bryan a couple of times with no answer ...I think it is time to get a bit more aggressive. By the way I'm sure I have his address here some where but if someone could PM me it it would save me some time ...
thanks

I thought the RCMP "always got their man" as the saying goes. Obviously not!.
How can so many people getting ripped off be an honest mistake. He's fed the RCMP crap, paid back a couple of high profile people to make it look good and is saying to the rest of us.
I can't believe the RCMP fell for that or are we just small fish and not worth worrying about.

Anyone got the e-mail for the RCMP? I think more of us need to have a go so they can see the case isn't shut.

Gray must be laughing his B******S off.

Anyone got any e-mails for gray? His hotmail is discontinued, I've got his blackdevils one.

That Vic, is REALLY unfair. A few people have been paid back, some are 'anonymous' some are Staff Members. Having been on the rceiving end of a major scam a few years ago, my advice is to continue to barrage the RCMP with complaints. One day or another, they WILL realize that there is a major problem and act accordingly...Jim

From a Canadian Point of view, i think the mounties dont want to press charges because to them it isnt worth it. The police here in canada hardly show up to car breakins or such incidents anymore. Alll you do is call them and they take a statement and thats it. Also our justice system is overflowing with cases(alot of dumb ones like "my cofee burned me" sort of crap) and they dont want to burden it with more. You should keep in touch with teh RCMP and remind them that u have not been paid back. I encorage all who have been bitten by him to write an email to let them know the scale of this crime.

Just my 2 cents

One would think the "scale" has been shown by this and other sites that are continuing to keep the forum alive with replies after replies...My God, just look at the sheer number of hits this thread has gotten.

I think the replies i've shown from bryan show his intent even before the money was sent. As for the "select few - high profilers that have been repaid, i have to agree with that statement. This is one cool fat cannuck that knows how to con the system. Sucessfully i might add too. I can only hope his dead relatives are looking down (or up ) on him in shame. The shame he has brought to the family name and to the memory of the brave members of the BlackDevils. This guy should be paraded around in public and humilated. THE STOCKS FOR HIM I SAY.

Wait, this and other forums are good enough for now. I only lost $110 and am getting my money's worth now thanks to the forum staffers keeping this one open and unlocked.

It's way way past wanting to be repaid now. I'll settle for the public humilation he's getting.. seeing as how the canadian police are so eaisly conned and fooled by this lilly-livered closet porn surfing(edit starts here) armed service member.. (i'm sorry, did i type that outloud?)

Gentlemen, please refrain from attacking one another and portions of the world's population that have nothing to do with the issue. If this thread starts to denegrate any further, I will start deleting any posts that do not directly pertain to the subject at hand. Posts that say "we should close this thread" or "no, keep it open" will be deleted. If you don't like my decision, take it up with Staff_Jim.

There can be any number of reasons why some people are being reimbursed in the order which it is occuring. They may have been the first ones to file a complaint with authorities or perhaps the amount of money available to Bryan Gray only allows him to pay back a few members at a time. They may be people he personally considers as friends (at the time). Only one person knows why.

Again, the whole reason for keeping this thread open allows folks to vent their frustrations and update the community on the status of their situation.

I've just sent another complaint to the required agencies which includes the RCMP. Didn't hear anything from my last one but see what happens this time.

This is the web site I used.

http://www.rcmp.ca/scams/overpayment_e.htm

While I was at it I looked at an address I was given by another member for Mr.Gray.
Check out the name of the street

"Brian away" Maybe that's the honest mistake he was telling the RCMP about.

I've also posted another complaint with the RCMP, so they know that "the honest mistake" isn't solved.
He has to get behind bars and pay all the people he ripped off, he can't get away with "his honest mistake".

I'd be very interested in any that still work.

If anyones got any post them here and we can all have a go.

The e-mailaddress I was talking about is [email protected], it is the only one that isn't bouncing but I haven't got any reply on my sent e-mails.
I've only used this address once for sending the crook money through PayPal.

wow, now i know what the deal is with Bryan Gray!

I feel so sorry for all the guys who clearly got fleeced in this matter.

I don't understand how someone with the ability to make money through quality modelling would resort to such criminal conduct.

In my brief time on the site i've found the vast, vast majority of members to be friendly and helpful to a fault, keep it up guys, don't let one bad apple upset the whole cart.
