It's working for me and Jean-luc. I'll ask him to restart the server. That worked for me before.

Edit: okay, a new server is running.

2nd edit: I can't connect to the new server. Always times out. No problems with Jean-luc hosting. I don't know what's wrong.

Sorry guys I had to stop the server because of those pop up windows! I tried to get back to windows to close one but I couldn't this time. I had to exit IL2
As I managed to get back the control of my PC I had to close 4 messages in a row! Geee! This is !

I hope I get that fixed until tomorrow... sorry to end the session like that... we were just getting warm!

I'll post the annoying pop up window picture soon!

Hi all!

Here are these pop up windows!

The second one appeared just as I wrote the previous post! Grrr! Please help me get rid of them! I can't see them anymore Sometimes I have one every minute...
I use a Mac usually, but I also have a PC for gaming. I connected it the first time to play IL2 with you and now this! Is the computer infected by some virus? I don't know what to do... HELP!

Homey, I have NEVER in my life seen any critical errors that direct you to download something off the web since 1992 when I started computering. Run one of those free virus programs and see what it comes up with.

Hi EasyOff!

I already downloaded one! I installed it, launched it and he made a check up and listed many "errors"... but to fix them I must pay to download the full program!!! My computer is running like a dream... wouldn't it be this pop up windows thing!
Isn't it a way to simply stop them appearing! I'm about to reinstall all my system again!

Okay, that's not a virus warning. Something to do with windows' registry. BUT that looks suspicous. Why would microsoft ever suggest other companies products? Looks like spyware or ad-ware infesting your PC.

Pop-up windows suggesting to get a program that costs money. Can't get rid of pop-ups without buying. = Spyware, ad-ware, the lowest scum.

Before re-installing your system, try this:
Ad-aware
It's free for personal use. Removes spyware and other sith.

Spybot
Seeks and destroys spyware lurking on your computer. Also freeware.

I recommend getting both for the maximum effect.

Hi Eetu!

Thanks for your advices!
I so far made two internet checks and both found no viruses or whatsoever! I'm using internet since 30 mn now and I have seen no pop up windows so far. Maybe playing with IL2 "activate" them... I don't know?

I will use both the programs you mentionned but will stop working on that as soon as I launch the server. Playing won't be affected for you all and I will maybe act as spectator if the pop ups are coming again... I can't play with such a window right in my face while doing a Head to Head duel with you! I'm not a kamikaze! :-)

Anyway, the server WILL run, at least for you guys, in half an hour! I will leave it running for a minimum of 5 yours so everyone can join today... enjoy!

Hi Jurjen!

Welcome to the Armorama Arena! Ready for your first solo flight... with sharks around you! :-)

I made a scan with both anti-virus programs and one put some files in quarantine... I hope it will work... still no pop ups yet...

I'm launching the server now!

With my extremely limited French and the help of babelfish, the pop-up says it's a "service message" (or something). Do you have any programs installed that may show such a message?

I had a dvd player that liked to start up during IL2. In single player it start in the background (I don't have the slightest idea why. The cd-rom drive would spin up and the program started occiasionally) But online, it popped up over the game, much like your pop-ups. Of course they always appeared when were chased by someone! Just guess how long I kept the program installed...

Hi there

I'm a total newbie with all this. I think I've got through to the right games room (I can see Emeritus and TheRudy's names - but I don't understand the ping thing... mine has an asterix (*) against it. Does that matter?

Cheers

I don't that matters, I can't see my own ping either.

Now there's something wrong. When I minimized the game to see if there's new messages, the game lobby popped up a message saying "the game room I was in was destroyed". It's still running, I'm in as well as Jean-Luc, but it's not visible in the lobby. I'll ask him to restart the server.

Cheers Eetu

I couldn't see an Armorama game - I thought Jean-Luc hadn't started it yet. Your name wasn't against a "room" on my screen.

All the best

It was running, but somehow dissappeared. Has happened to me before. Jean-Luc's restarting the server right now. Let's hope it works now.
