A bit more progress over the weekend, the roof & siren were added to the completed wheelhouse, and work started on detailing the bridge.

Bridge details completed, and the wind dodger added, one thing this does not show is that I have added a splash of colour with red / blue / yellow & black in the compartments in the flag lockers to represent the rolled signal flags.

Si,
I know what you mean. Things have been pretty hectic around here and I haven't gotten much time for modeling, but a small amount of progress has been made on the 1/32 Wingnut Albatros D.V:

It's just about ready to start painting, whenever I can get around to that!
Thanks for keeping us up on the great work you're doing, it looks like an interesting kit!
Anyone else getting anywhere?
Michael

Hello, Si!
I am watching your every move. I'm covered deep in magazine comissions, which take priority, so I'll have to wait to join the fray. Keep up the good work!

A bit more progress, the parts for the 0.5" vickers turret were cleaned up

the detail is basic but sufficient scale, ammo belts would have been nice, and as this is not my usual scale I did not have any laying around in my spares box. However, witn a spare etched sight from the fret once fitted it looks effective.

The companionway hatch has also been added, and this view shows the paintwork on one of the flag lockers as well.
Next work on the torpedo tubes commenced. One hase been cleaned up, the air reservior fiited & test fitted to its rack. It was quite tedious drilling out all the lightening holes.

Looking good so far Luciano.
A bit more progress on the MTB, both torpedo tubes have been cleaned up, as have the depth charge racks, and test fitted.

I had intended to have them sprayed, and the tubes fitted, but I as I have to spray outside, rain stopped play.
More soon,
Si

Hi Michael, thanks for your kind words, I will be using the Revell S100.
A bit more progress, another minor shortcoming of the instructions is that they make no mention of the release gear for the depth charges. What I have done is a bit of a simplification , but looks quite effective.
the racks have had a hole drilled through the base horizontally, and peice of rolled copper wire threaded through.

the racks & the charges were then painted, and assembled, the two ends of the wire were brought back round the frames, over the top of the charge ang fixed trogether in the middge of the back of the frame & a lever added from a scrap of plasticard.

The mounts for the torpedo tubes and the completed depth charges were then added.

and finally I got as far as adding the port tube & loading racks. The fused warhead hwas been sprayed Tamiya Light Gunmetal.

Looking good Torchy, nice work.
Got where I intended to be at the end of the weekend (almost). Starboard tube added, along with the mooring bits and cleats. The smoge generator has been fitted, just needs a couple of bits of plumbing and painting.

Hi Michael, It's the Special Hobby Seafire III, Not bad so far but the cockpit needs some work as it's to wide for the fuselage to fit together. Some filler on the wings and ejector pin marks on some visable parts that have also needed filler.
D go for it, I've read the tactics for combat against the Zero

Michael
It will still take me a while until I can join the party here, folks! At the moment I'm still working on my Eurofighter, but it's close to the finishing line (feels like 1.000 decals ....

). After that I will start at the Fighter Campaign over at Aeroscale with a dual combo. But after that I will start here ....

Should be sometime in June or July, I guess. But until then, I'm looking in from time to time.
Happy modelling!

Thanks Andy,
The109 is looking great too. Will start on the eboat shortly, just need to sort out a bit of room on the bench.
The 20mm has been assembled, but left in two sections for painting

the pedestal was sprayed ts66, and the barrel good old chaos black, details were then picked out on the barrel assembly, and then they were fitted to the foredeck of the boat. The liferaft & paddles have also been painted, they are just resting in plase, as I have to devise a way of scrathbuilding the lashings yet.

Nice work Andy, I like that the base is made from the real thing! Come on Logan, don't let that 109 rule the sky. Get the opposition up!
Nice work to everyone! Wish I could get off dead stop and get some more work done on the Albatros. I seem to have hit a modeling slump which is in no way the fault of the excellent WNW kit.
