Bob,
I like it! It gives the WWII splinter a refreshing 21st century feel to it. Well done!

Damian,
I thought I was bad with my Excel spreadsheet to keep track of my campaigns. Luckily of the five ending by the end of December I have at least started on four of them.

D,
We may just have to commit you to get ya straightened out. I bet you are having fun and more important, out of trouble

I found this while surfing and it lets me know that I am getting old re: Omega Man. I remember when it first came out, but I thought that was later than 1971. Oh Well!.

"TINKER BELL" now has clothes on and her turret. The large barrel is a flame thrower like those on the M3 Stuart Demons. The smaller barrel is a rapid fire 20mm gun. The pretty rockets on the side are 5" HAVR's. This is a one man self contained vehicle. The engine is a "HERMON SPECIAL" Dodge Hemi super turbo charged and spits fire like a dragon. Now to give it a weather bath to tone down that new car look.
Now with the turret:

This looks like it could be fun.
Rather than a zombie killing battle wagon (the zombie genre is'nt really my cup of tea) I'm thinking something along the lines of a post-nuclear war Mad Max style hot-rod. I've had a look a look at the kits I've got and dug out an old airfix E-type Jaguar. An odd choice perhaps, but we already have a Ferrari on the go here!

Cool.
I'm trying not to think up anything too severe to do to the E-type, I want to retain as best I can the look of the original, and perhaps its new owner takes some pride in owning and driving it. Sure the bomb's been dropped, civilisation and law and order have collapsed, and bandits and slavers roam the radioactive wastelands and countryside, but that doesn't mean a chap can't enjoy a sunday drive
So I'm thinking of the following mods:
- Roll bars
- chunkier front and rear bumper with maybe an armoured screen in front of the radiator
- Bullet-proof plate windscreen and on the sides and rear. Sort of like those sometimes fitted to Jeeps in WWII.
- Small arms in some sort of rack (rifle, smg, grenades etc..).
- New wheels, I dont think spoked wheels would survive the punishment for very long.

A nice sunday drive through the wasteland picking off the undead and mutant hordes, haha.
Be sure to take lots of pictures. I have a lot I've taken of my build but I've been incredibly lazy about putting any of them up.

Could be a scene from zombieland ha
I'm sticking well clear of that scenario but going for a post-nuclear war Mad-Max type of thing. Although how an E-Type survives a nuclear blast I have no idea, they have a nasty habit of rusting away even in ideal conditions.
Theres a lot of potential to do whatever you fancy in this. I even thought of doing a post War of the Worlds sort of thing with a steam powered tank in the early 1900's. Just not sure how I'd go about it. Fitting a WWI Mk.1 tank with a chimney just seems too easy.

Mad max is the way to go. I built something along those lines in the last ACUTR campaign.
Something steampunk would be awesome; putting a chimney on a Mk. 1 might be cheating but it would be funny!

@Stephen, how about a plow on the front to push all of those stalled and abandoned vehicles off the road...and let us not forget those road barriers set up by post apocalyptic highwaymen. It could be as simple as a cow catcher or as complex as a hydro power dozer blade.

I've got a few ideas. I found a plan drawing of an E-type I can open up in windows draw to start sketching them out on. Its a very simple kit and is lacking a lot detail in the interior so its a good one for messing with. Real shame someone doesn't do a new tooling. I have found a driver that fits very nicely in the seat with little modification. I think he was from some old tamiya German tank, but with a little modding and a new resin head it should work.
Oddly enough Mad Max 2 was on the other night but I missed it.

I'm surprised someone hasn't taken the 1/32 Revell Tanker and turned it into a armed and turreted tanker like in the Road Warrior.
