Welcome Psyfool...
Yerp... just as I thought.. the Tamiya cobblestone set.. What about the figures? Haven't seen them before.
Oh.. I realized you raised the sidewalk... a layer of styrofoam i suppose? What about that lamp and its sign? I must have been asking too much... More beer for u...

Sorry I missed one of ur questions earlier..The fig set is DML's 'Commander Conference'..tink it's quite new..Got it at TMS. As for the pavement, ur right, I raised it using cardboard and covered it w/ masking tape. The LP is Tamiya while the 'No parking' is scratch built...Thanx for the Beer offer Ike, but I don't drink!...Probably a Coke will do :-)

It all depends...I tink the rust can work but probably if it is depicted as an abandoned tank? If it's a servicable tank, then probably u can reduce the rust a bit and tone it down...I tink becoz the tank color and the rust are to contrasting..Try to tone down the rust so as to somewhat blend w/ the unworn paint..But I'm sure u're not done yet with it yet and it will look much better once done....

I have to agree with what Psyfool said... the amount of rust you've put on it might be a little too much. Therefore... it might look like a camo for the tank instead. Maybe you might want to add a layer of colour over certain parts.. to tone down the rust. It still looks good though. Maybe to the 'angmohs' they don't like it that well... different opinions..

That's a good looking Dio completed Psyfool... how did you manage to get all those rubble, wood, etc done in such quick time? Amazing skills...

I always have a plastic bag full of pieces of hardened plasters, tiles, sand and stones ready at all times..Collected them from real construction debris..Yesterday, I stayed up till 3am finishing up the dio...The wood is pieces of ice cream stick, tooth picks..Also cut up some small pieces of paper to depict...paper...

My next project?...Yesterday, I went to Tai Sing at North Bridge Rd (ex Tamiya agent) and got a diorama piece, something like a concrete bunker w/ sandbags for $7.90. Tot of making a German Machine Gun nest on top of a hill/ slope...Already got the DML machinegun team...There are a few types of these diorama pieces..I used them before for dioramas..I'll show u one example soon...I tink it's for warcraft games but it suits just nice for my dios...Probably u guyz can try them too?

Ooh... it's time to get myself a bag full of rubble too..

Oh.. a bunker w/ sandbags for $7.90? That's rather worth it.. Is it in 1/35 scale? Yup.. would love to see the pictures of it.. thanks bro.

If the tank is a captured tank by the russian, then the amount of rust might be justifiable.

Else, a little bit of drybrushing on the rust streaks will tone down the rust.

I tink it shdn't be too silverish...Based on photos, the exposed metal usually are darker color, something like gun metal or metallic grey plus a bit of rust...

I think I've seen this Ezi tracks on DML's website. They don't look that flexible.. are they made of rubber or plastic?

Yes, it's worth it for a Tamiya eventhough it's an old model. For the price, u can only get the Academy one, which is like a copy of this. I have this completed Stug too, but have not put in a dio. Did u get it at the tamiya showroom?
