That would be fantastic Pete if you let me know what happens. Would be good to blether during the day.

Is it a single day or two day event?

Hi Nige

I hope to be there but as of today still not had a reply about a table. If it happens you are more than welcome to put them on my table.

Hi Darrell

Thanks so much for asking !! Truly appreciated !!

Like so many folks I hit a model block with various things going on in the background with work and family !! My lovely SWMBO, Karen, was not very well and ended up in hospital for a while and this did not help matters !!

Thankfully she is back out and nagging again but I have not yet got back to the model build AS YET ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, though I relly am trying to kick my ass back into gear again !!

Strange as it is, I find my model building to be such a great stress relief when I really get my self into it ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but just as stressful knowing that I have to push myself in the right direction and get to the model room !!

Again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, thanks so much for taking the time out and asking ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Cheers

Nige

Hey Nige was wondering where you went. You make any of the shows? I was meant to be at Glasgow tomorrow but work has intervened. Hope Karen is better, and hope to meet up soon. I am going down to Telford, you going?

Oh and looking forward to some more of the TM build pics as and when buddy.

hi nige

Good to see you back on, and progressing with the Bedford. I have not been on too much myself recently due to work, but hope to be back in the fold and building mad for the new show season. You going to The Scottish Nationals in April?

Thanks Darrell, Peter and Ko

Hopefully getting a personal kick up the jacksy to get going again after getting my head around the transfer box ! Not as detailed as Zeger Van Hattem but will do for me at the moment ! That guy amazes me with his super detailed scratch building 1/24 truck builds with precision, cleanliness and repetition !

Hi Pete

I forgot to say that I am hoping to get to Perth as usual and will have to get in touch with my local club to make a presence if I am to put anything on display !

Will be great to catch up and see what you have been working on too

All the best

Nice progress Nige. You think it will be done for Perth? If you want room to put some stuff on show I have 2 tables booked under Bulldogs so you are more than welcome to bring stuff and display with mine. Bring the Bedford anyway a good in progress build to grab some attention.

Nige,

I really admire your old-fashioned scratchbuilding skills and your craftmanship while working with a variety of materials (plastic, metal etc). I liked your attempt for the Michelin XML tyres. If I had read this thread earlier, I would have propose you to build 3D printed items for you (tyres, bumpers etc) - as I read you tried KFS products which are also very good, but the advandage of 3D printed ones is that you can have as many as you like, any size, any scale, anytime.

Click on following "Anyuta 3D printed scale models" banner and have it in mind for future projects. Contact with us anytime - we 'll be happy to help a fellow scale modeler.

Regards,

Nick

Thanks Nick, Pete and D for looking in.

Nick, I think the problem with the 3D is the initial cost of the printing and added costs of postage if sourced from abroad which might have precluded that route in this case.

I would be interested for future reference to find out the cost and quality of the 1/24 wheel and tyres, with and without nuts (spare) posted to the UK?

Depending on the cost, would be interesting to compare the quality of the printed article to compare with the resin cast equivelant for future reference.

Can you get back to me on this either direct or maybe better by personal message ?

Will be wrestling with the cab soon to get the bits and bobs together there. Having got the doors to open it gives me more work on the fit of the parts as well as needing to add more interior detail before I try to close up. Also need to remember what I did for the DROPS wing mirror fixings and the like.

May get the prop shafts cut to lengths and see about those front shockers that are also giving me a real headache due to the knock on of dimensions in and around there for brakes and the like. Lots crammed in but those shockers !!!!!

Ah well

Nige
