Hi Pete

Appreciate the offer and will contact you to take you up on the offer !!!!! Need to tidy the hobby room up and get the muddle of stuff out of the spray booth to get the best use of your time and effort !!!!! I have some nato green and black ready so will be good to even get the bits at a primed stage so that it will be laying down actual colour !!!!!

Meantime, I found some more bits that are needed on the chassis !!!!

A very productive night building the battery carrier out of aluminium foil and minimum of plastic !!!

Anyone know if you can buy individual batteries ready made ?

Nige

Every penny is a prisoner these days so it does help to recycle when I can !!!!!!!!

A little more footering about getting the battery carrier mounted

Just hope the aluminium u channel brackets survive through to painting and handling. Surprisingly rigid !!!!!1

Filling up the chassis

A wee bit of a break and only the brakes been worked on

The bleedin glues refused to take any hold on the mix of plastic tubing leaving the rings floating about or popping off at the slightest nudge !! Thought a light sanding would help, but still an issue even now !!!

Am finding blue tack to be a very useful third hand for jobs like drilling and even cutting

And had to fix a screw up with flexi pipe routes
Wrong side

After correction

Have been getting time to tinker with the plastic while I am up at Lossiemouth at the caravan (likely the last time at Silver Sands unfortunately).

My work bench for the two weeks

Getting all the bits to fit just right is bleeding awkward especially as a couple of mm out in one place throws things out elsewhere ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and it is so hard to predict where the effect will knock on to or multiply up until you hit the next problem area !!!!!!! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGG ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Will be a few cuts and shuts in areas hopefully that will be hidden from view except for those in the know !!!!!!!

Rear brakes and load sensor

Mounting the cab has meant having to tweek the front axle and the bumper to make sure the cab sits right !!!!!

Am enjoying chilling out on hols and getting wee hits on the build

Hi there mate

Three weeks is not long !!!!!!! I would love to maybe have a coat of green on it by then !!!!!!! I have a feeling my dear lady will be getting me busy with some DIY when we get back down to Stirling while the kids stay with their gran at the caravan !!!!!!!

Don't want to rush the end game ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, not that I can ever be accused of great speed !!!!!!!

Will try at least to get some time off for good behaviour to attend the show and maybe bring the built DAF and the TM plus a few of the other half builts !!!!!!!

Don't know who I would see about getting space to display in time though or on the day ????

Will also need to find the venue !!!!!

Hi Nige

I hope to be there but as of today still not had a reply about a table. If it happens you are more than welcome to put them on my table.
