Dave ,, sounds pretty close to what i am building but not for this campaign ..its a play model just having some fun with but i'm using a hummve chassis with the body from a M151 jeep but its not going to look anything like that when i am finished ..oh full roll cage too with a .50 turret ring.

Zon ,, well its painted ..so now its the weathering side which i hope to start tomorrow ,,the weather is meant to be crap so sounds like a really nice day to do it

Phill, she came out looking great. It's so cluttered with detail that you spot something new each time you look at the pics.

Hmmm, not sure that's such a wise idea, just make sure you're in a different room (or postcode!)

Damian, Any ideas about a start date for EOD II? If not can I suggest December 22 of this year. Seems sort of fitting to start the day after the Mayan Calender date.

Hi Guys, completed my second and final entry. 1/35 scale base, with a 1/24 3.5litre V6 (dunno what that would make the capacity in 1/35 - I ain't that clever). Front suspension is custom, rear suspension is from the same Jaguar sports car as the engine.

Pics are in the campaign gallery.

Dave ,, Nice ride mate ,, the capacity is 3.5 litre's so ya did know that but what i think you wanted was the horse power figures ,, well me ol mate your little beast has 550hp to play with
All i can say to that is HOLY CRAP!!!!!
Fastest scout vehicle ever made ,, I LIKE IT !!

Thanks for the comments guys. The idea was for a 'rapid response vehicle' - I guess 550hp would make it VERy rapid! A rough calculation says that a 3.5litre engine in 1/24 scale is equal to 5.1 litres in 1/35 so that a big V6!

Phill: I like the rig very much. I'd sign up for that safari in a heartbeat!!

Dave: Nice RRV! Maybe some troop seats on the back decks kind of like the helicopter skid seats for those Delta Force guys.

Happy Modeling, -zon

My entry is started at long last after many delays.

So when I was younger I remember watching the first Terminator and I remembered a bit where an old car with a 50 cal mounted onto a ring was chased by one of the Hunter Killers. I thought I'd do some thing like that.

I spent several weeks trying to find a suitable Donor kit. Then I found this vehicle.

The volkswagen toureg rally car used for the paris-dakar rally back in 2010. I thought the body shape was perfect and as a 4wd perfect for a post-apocalypse world, with a few tweeks.

I decided that as far as scrathbuilding goes I will add some extra armour to the sides, and turn it into more of a pickup.
I decided that as far as weapons go I will add a 50 call on the back, along with a ram of some sort covered with barbed wire and extra protection for the windscreen. I will also add some sort of roll bars to the outside and searchlight. Just the thing you need for a night out on the town, for a spot of Zombie slaying!!

Sorry for late entry. I will try characterize "End of days" campaign with a monumental vinniette. Ex Esci, new Italeri 1/72 Iwo Jima Flag Raisers with a resin 28 mm skull set, gave me an opportunity for caricaturing it.

Hi!
Unfortunately parts of this diorama were done or partially done before this campaign started and I cannot officially participate but I wanted to share the results with you anyway.

So the story is that Hitler's armies found magical artefact of great but grim power. Hitler wanted to use it during the war but something went wrong and dark forces broke loose.
Special troops known as Hexenjäger were created to fight against supernatural enemy. Here you can see three soldiers with their halftrack equipped with holy water sprayers, peg throwers and infrared night vision system attacking a vampire standing next to profaned graveyard chapel.

I hope you like it
