From 24th to 25th of September the IPMS Austria held its - so far - biggest model exhibition and contest south of Vienna.
Two special topics gave a special touch to this event:

35 year´s anniversary of the winning of the formula one racing car world championship of the famous Jochen Rind, who unfortunately died in the same year in an accident.

50 years anniversary of the founding of the Austrian armed Forces of the 2nd Republic after the Allies ended the occupation of the country.

IPMS-Austria held their annual kit exhibition/contest between 13. and 14. September 2003 in the aircraft museum at Graz/Thalerhof.
Supercon 2003 is returning again this year thanks to the Fort Worth Scale Modelers in Fort Worth Texas. With the theme of "Machines That Changed the World", your sure to see some very interesting subjects presented.
The IPMS Lt. Alexander Pearson Modelers proudly annouce their annual invitational on May 31, 2003 at the Pearson Air Museum in Vancouver, Washington (USA). This years theme will celebrate the 100th year of flight.

We invite you to join us October 5th 2002 on Open championship of Croatia in plastic modeling. Contest will be in "Elektrotehnicka i prometna skola" (Electrotehnical and traffic school), Istarska 1c, Osijek. You can bring your models from 8-10h, and results will be at 17h. Entry will be 40 kn for modeler. We will organize visit to Sport airport "Osijek-Cepin" where you will able to look and make photos of thier aircrafts.
Looks like fun, sounds like fun, must be fun! Belgiums National Convention 2002 is underway and shall take place on Sunday October 6th 2002 in Roselare Belgium. You will be able to fins that latest heart throb (albeit in plastic!) organized with the participation of numerous traders, this looks to be an interesting event.
It wasn't a long drive. Only 200 or so miles from where I live in Charlottesville to Virginia Beach. But after spending 2 and a half weeks on a cross country trip in the first half of July, I wasn't eager to drive a long distance again. My apprehension increased when I hit heavy traffic after Richmond and the 3 hr drive turned into 4 and a half. But from the moment I arrived in Virginia Beach and called up Bryan (Tin_Can) on the phone, it was smooth sailing.
DGeraths' Dragon Wagon diorama has won the Best of Show - Contestants Choice Award at the recent IPMS Lt. Alexander Pearson Invitational held on June 15, 2002. More images of this event are on display here. We are all very proud of Dana for his excellent work on this project and for sharing it with us (and other modeling sites) the way he did.
We would like to anounce that we at the Dallas Armor Modeling Society, D.A.M.S., will be holding our first annual DAMS Fest Model Show. It will be held on September 14th, in Richardson, Texas. The show will be for ALL modelers with complete

William De Coster (www.prinzite.com) has contributed over 100 photos from the Lier (Belgium) 2001 event. There is a wide assortment of photos here including, armor, figures, and aircraft. The 2002 event will be taking place on December 8, 2002 in Lier (near Antwerp). The event generally sees more than several hundred entries and even more visitors. IPMS Lier Convention 2002 will take place sunday 08-12-2002, in cultural centre "De Mol", Lier, Belgium. The theme for this years contest is (battle) damage. There will be various international traders. For more information visit our website www.ipms-lier.be.tf
The IPMS Fort Worth Scale Modelers are holding the 2002 SuperCon on August 10th at the Arlington Community Center in Vandergriff Park. Several hundred modeler's decended on Richmond this weekend for the 2002 IPMS Richmond "Old Dominion Open". The battle-lines were drawn. Tanks were laid down in neat lines facing off against F-14 Tomcats, Kubelwagens, and '57 Chevy's. And the winner was?...
The 2002 IPMS National show will be held in Virginia Beach, Virgina by the Tidewater IPMS and the Hampton Roads Scale Modelers. The event will be held July 31, 2002 through August 3rd at the Pavilion Convention Center.
