I need some paint so I'll be trekking to the store. Have an assignment Friday, so it will Saturday. Anyone want to meet up there let me know and I can arrange my time accordingly. Surprized there hasn't been a HOBBY LOBBY half off sale in a while, but we look for Moezilla to clue us on those events. I'm in the middle of helping Homer in his divorce from Marge right now. So many many forms and court orders

No big Hobby Lobby sales lately, sorry.
Been busy as hell here, gearing up for this weekends spring season kickoff for hockey. Ran some clinics in January and now we're getting our spring season started so I'll be caught up in all of that til about April or so.
Haven't had any time for builds, finishing the 3 I have now or anything new and won't until I make myself finish these other 3. Easing off on campaigns too for now, just don't have the time. I have a couple I'm signed up for and will do those but then it's time to just build for the fun of it.
I am looking forward to the show in Mesquite this year, make some more good deals at the tables.

I've been experimenting with a color for a uniform color. I'm asking for constructive criticizim on this figure. I'm not done with the flesh tones yet nor am I a professional photographer.

The color looks real good to me Jim. I would add a little white (in the mix to lighten) occasionally to the basic color just to show wear and to have some variation.

Gentlemen,
Due to the recent discovery of Everquest II, I have AWOL from modeling for awhile. :-)
However, I'm still very much in love with plastic model. I will try to get back on the saddle and start sniffing some Tenax.
sigh... I still got the Findmold Falcon to build...

Calling out the Dallas Platoon!
Guys - two things here.... first, I have arranged with the Plano Library system to do a series of "make and takes" for kid and parents age 8+... I had the first session at Parr Library, and we had almost 40 people turn out. Next week - March 5th (Sunday) from 2-4pm I'd love to get some help from you guys.... turns out the kids love this stuff, but have more questions than I can handle on my own. Any volunteers to work the Harrington Library with me next week (18th Street, just west of Jupiter... easy access off the George Bush).
Email me at [email protected] if you'd like to assist in teaching newbies about the hobby. Testors has donated about 60 models (all WWII aircraft for beginners), and it is a LOT of fun to see the kids (and dads!) get into it.
Second - the Harrington Library has agreed to be the "home" for a Plano based modeling club. I'm a member of the Euro dominated Military Historical Society, so we can get a charter pretty easily. We will need to decide when and how often we'd like to meet - open to suggestions. Also, they have a huge empty library case with glass doors on both sides to display our finished works... the facility is also first class - and no charge. Ready to model?

As a strong supporter of the make and take programm, I would be remiss not to volunteer also I'll have to motivate myself on my midterm test in Probate (its a two week take-home) to free up time. Chance to visit with my sister too.

YEs - this Sunday (March 5th) we will be doing the make/take at Harrington Library which is located at 1501 18th Street. Pretty near the intersection of 18th and Jupiter in Plano. This is the same library where we will have our modelling club.
Hope to see you guys there around 1:45, for a 2-4pm class.
