Yeah we should get together. Bill, I will leave you message next time I'm going up there...
Steve, we gotta get together to watch the Rose Bowl. USC (me) vs UT (my brother's almamater). There's gonna be some sibling rivalry haha.

OK, I'll cheer for Texas too....mainly because I don't want to see three in a row national champs...Bama got ripped off in 1966..They were undefeated and Notre Dame had a tie on their record...of course ND was given the title (which is erason #1 why Bama fans hate Notre Dame) (Bama had won it in 64 and 65)

There is a saying in Tuscaloosa. I'm for Alabama and whoever is playing Notre Dame. We did finally take ND sometime in the mid 80's and for once the game wasn't even close. Prior to that the schools had played 4 times Alabama lost them all..... by 1 point, 2 points, 3 points, and 7 points. I think Bama won by more than 20. The only school Bama has never beat and only tied is Texas, but we don't hate them because they never "cheated" us out of a national championship.

Hey guys, Alabama is playing Texas Tech in the Cotton bowl on January 2. I'm trying to entice my sister. Anyone interested in hanging out and maybe even going to the game? You must learn how to yell Roll Tide during the kickoffs. I won't insist you learn Alabama Yellowhammer (the fight song).... Hell I don't even know the words

Hey guys - I'm here. I just have so many places to go on Armorama, i only check into the Dallas Platoon site about once a month or so... sorry to be so elusive! You can always CALL ME (972-608-9800 till 8:30pm most any night!)
Anyway - yes - last week i installed the first library (Hagard on Coit and Park) and it is REALLY nice. They also have a HUGE room they have agreed to let us use. I would suggest that since most of us have vacation time coming up this month, we might meet between Christmas and New Years. i will have to see what dates they have the room availalbe for us... but they would love to see us become regulars. The community interest in the display this first week has been quite good, and we may well find quite a few new modellers in our midst!
So - First class - let's do a seminar on water (wet, ice, deep, shallow... the works. Probably good for about 2-3 hours of get-together time for anyone interested.
Email me at [email protected] with your comments and availability.

Count me in Keith, this rookie can use ALL the help he can get! The water stuff will come in handy for the dreadnoughts campaign.

Just tried calling you twice Keith, for some weird reason it said connected but I didn't hear anything (was calling from work). I was contacting you about the Panther I talked about in the PM, I'll PM you my phone # if you need a Panther (Tamiya one I've got).

Hi guys
I have been lurking around here for about a year trying to figure this whole modeling thing out!
I live in North Richland Hills and would be interested in getting together with you guys.
Some of my weekends are taken up with navy Reserves and other things.
I will keep checking here to see when the meeting(s) will take place.
Cheers
Joe

That will work well for me. My folks will be in for the holidays through the 27th and of course they'll be with Cindy and as I am not presently working I will be up there quite a bit. I might even convince young nephew to come. pick a day anyday.

Crazy thing... the day after I posted my number, the phone switch in our neighborhood got screwed up while they were installing fiber-optic cable. No one could get through... but it is the right number, and works fine again.

Good to see you finally show up Keith!
Haha, count me in on this. Please give us more detail about the class. Also let us know how much is the material cost and "tuition" for the class. I can't speak for others but I'll be glad to compensate your time and effort.
This is gonna be great!!

Any updates on when you'd like to run this class Keith? That's a really nice library, I stopped by there and checked out the dio's and the library as well. Very nice place!

I too am waiting with bated breath. I have an old diorama that I had a section set aside to make a small creek or water filled ditch that I would like to enhance. I know with the upcoming Flat-top and ongoing Dreadnaught campaigns some of the guys doing 1:700 scale waterline might want to depict a seascape base.

I'm one of those who will venture into water for the first time with the dreadnought campaign. Going to get my feet wet (pun intended lol) a bit easier on a much smaller scale with a little dio first before doing the 'bigger' kit.

Anytime, I've got a couple of bottles of paint I could pick up. Lets pick a date a week or so away and advertise it so maybe another couple of guys will show up and we can get this Southside Branch Dallas PLatoon thing kicked off. Keith or Ben needs to show up how to do water (HINT - Hint) I'm pretty good at weathering and damaging tanks (based on years of experience) and can do some pretty mean goundwork

As for me, I go to school M-Th from 6:30 till 9:30, I like to stay up late and I sleep till noon or so. So like Billy, I'm good on weekend afternoons. Ben I think has a crazy schedule, so it will be up to him to set the time and date MOndays work for me.

Heh... two jobs can do that to ya! Night and weekends can be difficult since I will be at the bar pouring drinks for the drunks haha (I'm a part time bartender). Like I say Stevo, I will go see you on Sunday around noon... if you are awake (gotta work at night). I will bring the book and the M Falcon for you to look at haha! Oh also anything else panther related you wanna see? If I got it I will bring it!
Bill, you wanna join us? Perhaps we can all have lunch.
