Hi All,

Currently still working on my desert vignette featuring the Ramcke brigade. During this time I received my order of my first 120 mm. Verlinden SF, Afghanistan figure. I have to recommend against ordering it. While the pose is nice, the details I find to be relatively "soft'. For a 120 mm. figure I expected more crisp details.

I also ordered 2 conversion kits from Verlinden. One for Fallschirmjager and the other for British Paras. I'm sure some people already know but for those who don't Verlinden heads aren't very good. I found the Fallschirmjager heads too big for my poor DML figs. The British paras sizes were better. Weapons from both sets were poor even when compared to DML first generation weapons. Although in their defense, I must say at USD 9.56/set you do get a lot of hands, boots, accessories in resin.

On the other hand I ordered a Hornet head set and I have to say while they're expensive at RM 46/set from Hobbyeasy they're well worth it as was the DML Gen 2 Fallschirmjager set. Unlike what was reported here in a review there is some minimal seam lines but for a weapon enthusiast like myself the weapons and accessories rival any resin ones I've seen. I would highly recommend this set to anyone into figures. Crisp fold lines on the clothes are as good as resin figs. Imagine even the Fallschirmjager jump badges comes in PE. That's a big WOW although at this rate I'll just be going blind faster.

Hi all

currently i'm building the Ambush at Poteau set for the street dio. The base is almost complete.

Need a little bit of weathering before it's done. I will add a few wood strip to resemble the broken window frame maybe made from ice cream stick or other materials.

Now i have to paint the figure. The 4 fig are in relax position.

as for now, all of the figures are given the first coat color. Only the guy in the far left is not in cammo smock. He's field grey coat. The other guys will be painted on ss oakleaf pattern. I have completed the fist cammo color on 2 of the guys. Sorry no pic yet.

other work is 1/16 Fallcshimjager. will be painted on splinter pattern. I have almost completed the flesh color.

and one more update is the 1/35 AH-1T SuperCobra.

the photos show the kit before my latest update. Now the heli is almost complete. IT has been painted with 2 tone grey and the long whiskey in the mix decal.....
i will post some photo perhap tomorrow

got back from the long break too and could not continue with the build on the Nashorn. Instead took down the Italeri Marder III and Trumpeter Hotchkiss German SPH for a quick build hoping to catch the MH competition just announced by Kenny today in the other forum. Both this kits unfortunately have bad fit and detail problems.
Other works in progress, T35 1:16 engine only, LVTP7a1 tamiya painting to do (tamiya still wins hands down for ease of build) trumpeter KV1 half built, TBF avenger dio to start, and helping daughter out on some model ideas for her school project to construct a Kawasan Lapang di tepi gunung.

I really get a kick reading all your post. Its like reading Friends punya script except without the chicks!

Tang, thanks for the offer. Should be able to handle it as I've just gave my daughter all my Shep Paine, FSM and other reading materials on dio how to.
The teacher suggested to her to use egg crates for the hills. Time to up the quality a bit...

This is my current work in progress pic of the flak gun. The guns were built about 1 month ago. I had built up the rest of the vehicle and painted it with the base colour but it is still without any weathering(cept paint chips)
The under chassis has got static grass and mud (Gunze) on them. I will write a mini review of the kit but currently dry fitting shows some fit problems between the hood and the chassis AND the cabin.alamak!!..
Hmm..i might enter this into the competition.

Here is my tiger II (1/72) with a cut out on the rear deck. It is awaiting for a scratch build engine (wow...aint i ambitious!). It suffered from some minor cuts, but nothing some putty cant help.

Hoho...itulah, why put ur model in your kereta? Cari padah onli.
But the colour scheme on your model looks very nice.
I have a book on German tanks so i shall be referring to the pics in there to build the engine. I have some ideas on how to fabricate some parts , but we shall see how is the outcome later lah.

Eh, the cat sudah sampai or not? Now is gaji day,so can buy more paints.
