Great campaign everyone..

Had a lot of fun with it..

now on to something else..

I can see the ribbon is awarded, but in the profile in the settings for everyone I've checked the ribbon is showing up as just a white space... don't know whats up with that.. when I open the image in a new window.. I do get to see the ribbon.. just isn't showing in the profile page..

laters

My ribbon is showing up, but it has a big white area attached to it. Looks like the original image just needs to be cropped.

Have you tried opening it in MS paint and just cropping off the white part?

All else fails, shoot it to me and I'll see if I can fix it in Digital Image Pro 9.

Thank you for the campaign and the ribbon Matt.

Sorry that I had to wait until the last minute to submit an entry. I am already looking forward to B.A.T. IV.

Thanks,
Randy

I loved Randy's clothespins so much I went out and made a bunch of my own--now I just need to find a use for them!

Glad you like them Namabiiru. Hopefully a project will come along soon that you can use them on.

Thanks,
Randy

Matt, still seeing all that extra white space when I view on my profile. Did you use the 50x50 or the 50x20 image? I'll not hen-peck you any further on this topic. Looking forward to getting BATIV underway!

Is that a tension spring at the pivot point?
Looks good. I want to make one as well, but I think I'll design the blade holder to accept utility knife blades as they are much sturdier. Maybe I can do two sets of holes and have the ability to change to both styles of blade?

Gave me some great ideas. Thanks for posting.

EJ

Couldn't find any utility knife blades with holes, just notches in the top. I found these though. They are replacement blades for edgebanding trimmers. They are kind thick at .053 thick X .471 wide X 2 3/16" long.
However, they have holes for mounting and best of all, they are sharpened with one bevel. I'm gonna hone one and mount it to see if it gives a flat cut with the single bevel.
Here's hoping.

Will post a pic when I get it done.

Is there a B A T 4 thread yet?

Here's a couple soaker trays for soaking wood strips used in wooden ship building, made of PVC pipe.

How do those soakers work, EJ? I assume you have to weight the parts to keep them submerged? Maybe a long piece of metal mesh cut to a size slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the PVC would keep parts down, but allow them to float off the bottom and soak evenly.

If you were to use mesh you could just form it into a sort of top hat type shape so it can fit just inside the tube and lie below the level of the water!

Paul

p.s. any news on B.A.T. 4 I need to build a static grass applicator and I just got all the bits!

Great ideas. I just lay a nickel on the parts, or just poke em down and flip them over every so often. The nickel is easier on the fingers when the water is hot. I really want to find a submersible heater I can lay in there to keep the water hot, kinda like a coffee cup heater only strait. Any ideas?
