I-16 Type 24 Eduard 1/48 WIP:
I have a few photos. The colors don't look so good on the painted photos as in real life so please excuse.

I drilled out the holes for the exhaust some.

Holes drilled to cut one side for the PE door.

Seat with PE belts and rudder pedals

OK, this may be the only time you see the instrument panel on this plane as it sit so far back in the cockpit.

PE door just hanging

Fuselage side that makes it look like it's painted poorly-it looks better in real life

Now it is time to glue the 2 fuselage halves together. Oh, I forgot to mention how small this plane is even compared to the German fighters it flew against. And as you can see not too many parts which makes the build go faster at this point.

I-16 Type 23 WIP:
A few more pictures today. I've had problems with the fuselage staying glued even though I've used TenX, Tamiya two glues and clamps. I think part of the problem is the odd shape of this short stubby plane making it hard to get clamps around. Secondly, the plastic must be hard as when it does split open it is a very clean split with no evidence that glue has created an adhesion between the 2 halves.

I glued the top wing on only and will weather and fit the seat & floorboard next.

The weathering has been put on and this is the only view you can see it. When viewing from the top cockpit the side walls are so convex you can barley see them.

The seat

Thanks for looking-Pam

Thanks for the encouragement. I've already asked a few daft questions and got sensible, helpful and friendly replies back. This is indeed a great a site

Anyhow I'm away for a week now and will be looking forward to logging back on at the end of next week for more Ladies Campaign updates ....

Danielle has an update to post when she can, I have edited her pictures but she is playing Navel Airborne ops at the moment at HMS Bristol, and when she gets back from there she is off to Rome to play gladiator. With all that she will be posting an update next Sat or there abouts.

Man! She has a busy work load. That Gladiator job can keep you hopping with all the pitch forks and nets and all. But hey you gotta keep the crowd happy or they let the animals lose and those hippos can be nasty things. and they have lousy health care in that industry.
