Pretty well. I did better than last year.
And of course the fun part is catching up with friends and stuff.
I've got the Crusader cleaned up and polished so next up is priming. I'll get some pics up soon.

Glad to hear you had a great time , catching up with friends is always the best part .
looking forward on see the pic's . I have some 1/48 RAF figures that I would like to paint up , but have never attempt painting figures before . So this could be the inspiration I need .

Cool Terri! We have a campaign over on Historicus Forma (Minimize II) starting up in November for painting minis if you'd like to join. 1/48 would definitely qualify as a mini.
Kelly joined it already. If you have any questions painting figs, HF is a great place to ask.
Here a pic of the cleaned up (seams removed and polished) pieces. I'll prime them tomorrow. I think the only piece I can assemble before painting is the other leg. The rest will have to be put together as it's painting because some parts block others. There's a base too, but it's under the foam. (Sorry the pic is a little fuzzy.)

Yep I did! Even been practicing and I think its pretty well decided that I can make a big mess with a little figure but I have been enjoying it.
So I will need all the help I can get. but that can wait for it to start.
later,
Kelly

Well Here is the Kugi as the swamp thing and in night vision (had the camera set on that
) and with a light wash. Have not decided really what finish to give it but will think of something as it goes along. As these never really fought in any action that is documented it is more or less wide open.

Sorry for no more posts. I took off from modeling for about 2 weeks and then my son got sick. Then, I caught what he had and have been sick this past week. Hope to do some more work on my I-16 this week.-Pam

Very well done Kelly , it's awesome ! And you said last was your spot ! A light dry brushing of steel on the edges would give it a more worn look and bring out that wonderful paint job done on a long with the weathering . I didn't see any battle damage , so we are not to great on the aiming part !
All in all Kelly I'm always impressed with your work and your turn out rate of building !
I just started to do painting in the cockpit , so now that you are done . Can I borrow your crew ?

really cool kelly that's a great build, are you going to do the 2nd choice build now, was it the buc? You could have the whole lot finished at this rate.

Thanks guy's. I did use some red steel on the tracks and teeth but it did not show up well I don't really know why except that I did not want to get carried away and ruin it all so I called it good. as it was I broke the head light off three times and finally had to rob one the last time
so I figure the modeling god's wanted to bring this to a close
jaypee right now I am driving myself crazy trying to learn how to do a wood finish on an albatross
if I can learn how to do it decently I have a flexistowe I want to build..
Its easy to build them at this rate when your laid up and cant do much else. I twisted an ankle and for some reason the swelling won't go down. I do have a new respect for anyone using crutch's they are about the worst things to try and get around on.

you guy's are right I should have gotten the steel color a little heavier. I went and looked at the up close pics and I agree.

Thanks
Kelly

Thanks

Very impressive work Kelly .... the Kugleblitz is looking good and being the first over the line you've set a high standard for the rest of us to follow. Hope you enjoyed the build. I also hope your ankle swelling reduces in the near future and I trust that your crew are looking after you in the meantime.
My Corsair should be arriving in the post any day now and having seen all the good progress made by you other ladies, I'm chomping at the bit to get started.

Thanks gunlayer. You may all borrow my crew but I warn you they don't come cheap prime rib and at least 18 hours of sleep and play a day. .....

And don't tell me .... the crew would expect to be flown over to Britain in a private jet too!

Well ... unless I win the lottery, I guess I'll just have to build models without the crew's assistance!
Still waiting for my Corsair to be delivered. It was dispatched a week ago so by my reckoning delivery by the Royal Mail must be imminent (I can but hope
) And I just know it will be delivered whilst no one is at home so I'm expecting to have to arrange for it to be re-delivered. Re-delivery or not, I'm confident that I'll have it by the weekend. Will post pics of the kit when it does finally arrive.

Really nice job Kelly! Yeah, at that rate you'll have a whole army finished by the deadline.
I'm curious, since I know nothing about building armor or aircraft or anything like that, how long do you think it will take to finish your respective projects? How much painting and stuff is there? Airbrushes or brushes?
As for my figure, which is sitting there staring at me primed and ready to go, it will probably take around 40 hours to finish, longer if I choose intricate heraldry. I still have to pick a person on whom to base the heraldry...and decide if I want to convert it at all and how I want to base him. Decisions, decisions...

Of course I have a team of advisers (they got mad being called the crew) so its easier for me
but I feel its all relevant to ones abilities , time, and money to spend accessorizing.
