Sorry guys, but it's going to be the Ravens vs Pats. The Ravens defense is stoked and the fans will be so loud that Manning won't be able to hear himself think let alone wandering around the backfield calling out options.

Ravens vs. Pats can still occur if both with their respective playoff game this weekend. What we are saying is that this will be the best match up. In other words, the "don't miss this game" game.

Another NFC game settled by a field goal difference. I thought the Saints had lost it after Brees' fumble. Good thing they held the Eagles (and that the Eagles line had the holding penalty).

I'm 2 for 2 going into tomorrow's games. Let's see if my last two picks hold true as well.

Seahawks over Bears
Pats over the Chargers

I'm not sure what was more important in the Colts-Ravens game: how good both defenses were or how mediocre the quarterbacks were. Either way, the Colts have definitely done a 180 in the defense area. But I have a feeling that it'll be Colts v Chargers next week and that probably won't go too well (just like KC, and Baltimore...).

On the other hand, I definitely think most people are rooting for the Saints to win the NFC championship if not at least go to the super bowl just for the cinderella factor (although they worked hard to get to where they are)

How 'bout them Colts? They have given up a total of 14 points in 2 playoff games.
4 of the 5 Indianpolis Star sports reporters where even picking them to lose.
Manning has thrown 1 touchdown pass and 5 interceptions? What is up with that?
I guess they are playing "BucBall" now, score 12 points and win the game.
2 for 2 going into today's games as well. I don't know who to root for in the Pats Chargers match up. The Colts would play the Pats at the dome if the Pats win, which is a plus but then you have the "Brady" factor in play. That guy simply rocks in the playoffs. If the Chargers win the Colts have to travel to play the league's MVP...

Think I will root for the Patriots. (Got an extra hat or sweatshirt I can borrow Rob? They are pretty tough to find in Central Indiana)

Did anyone besides me see the blonde in the stands during the Saints game with the t-shirt that read "@#&! The Eagles" in big gold letters? Great camera work there...

I cannot believe Billicks play calling in the Ravens-Colts game. How many times did the Ravens have a third and whatever and he'd call a pass play that was behind the first down marker. Ever since he took over the OC position his play calling has been great. He waits till this game to become Mr. Conservative. And what happened to the running game in the second half? It was non-existent. And to be eliminated from the playoffs by the Irsays has to be the most painful part of all.

Well, here's hoping for a Pats win over San Diego. Tom Brady is a class act and that team treats the road just like it's home.

Better than home. Pats were 7-1 on the road and 6-3 at home (includes Jets' wildcard game win at home). I give them an edge on the road.

You know in the NBA everyone said that the Western Conference Finals were the real finals....Miami had something to say about that...

I also like everybody picking against my Bears.....keep it up and they'll continue to win under the radar. A win is a win. The Seahawks did nothing to impress me...Romo gets a grip (no pun intended) and they would be on vacation right now.

Colts continue to surprise me but I cannot wait to watch the Pats/Chargers game....it's gonna be good.

Woo Hoo! Pats win!

I ended up 3 for 4 this week. Not as great a game as I thought it would be, but it was still a good game to watch.

Oh man! Brady had me so nervous I had to check my blood pressure a couple of times. He was off his game (three interceptions) and Pats got lucky getting most of their points off turnovers. I guess win is a win so I will take it any way I can. :-)

Next stop...Indy!

The interception on Brady by SD and fumble by SD in the same play was huge since it gave the Pats the first down the Pats shouldn't have gotten

That's what you get when one of your wide outs has played a season or two as a secondary defenseman. Troy Brown's getting old, but he's good enough to start games on defense wen he had to.

Next week's Colts-Pats match up will be interesting since both QBs were off their respective games this weekend.

I thought it was just me! I couldn't tell if it said that or "Beat the Eagles" That was so funny, I was laughing for an hour. I guess a taped-over nipple is a bigger offense than the F-word on national television. Though on second thought, I don't think too many people were reading the words on her shirt if you catch drift :-)8 = .

So since the Pats won, are the Colts at home or not?

Pats got really lucky and had some things just go their way when they needed it. Interestingly similar scores this weekend (except for the Colts 15-6).

Pats 24-21
Bears 27-24
Saints 27-24

The difference of a field goal in each game, plus the 7 field goals in the Colts game sort of put the "foot" back in football.

Come on Bob, Saints and Colts...
I don't know whether it was vintage Brady or Schottenheimer but the Pats pulled it out. So the road to Miami goes straight throught the Midwest. Should be classic games next Sunday as well. All four games this weekend were great. Hope it stays that way.

Shaun

EDIT: Opening line; Bears -3, Colts -3. About what I expected...

Somebody ought to buy Belichick a hoody with sleeves on it. It will be pretty warm in the dome though, so he may not need it...
Ear plugs maybe...

Most likely a conbination of the two. Schottenheimer didn't go for the FG on 4th and Rivers was sacked & fumbled for a loss. They could have used those three points.

Then the headbutt on what would have been the Pats' 4th down game them first down.

The Chargers had the game, but you can't give Tom Brady several second chances during the game and still expect to win.
