Hey guys!
Good thing we got the tavern..

I got a question for you all (army veterans)...

As some of you all might know, I haven't enter the Army yet (still studying). I guess I'll be going in next year.

I recieved a letter from Mindef asking me to go for a Vocational Assignment at Pasir Ris Camp.. Any idea what's that about?

Can u tell us more about yourself? At what stage of enlistment are u at now. First stage is register, medical, computer test, uniform test and get PES status.
What is ur PES status? Are u a scholar quality? Whats ur education level?

Ok, selection for commandos will basically be IPPT. I think they will ask whether you want to be part of them, for what i know they always get the right person. If they dont want you, there is also a high chance that you might not even be in the army. Might even end up in the police force. BUt dont worry, if u are good, u are good. BMT will weed out the non hackers..ask Danial, he went thru the whole bang under me..hehehe

The only problem is:

1. If I turn them down, will I get listed? Prohibiting me from entering, say SISPEC or OCS?

2. Must my decision be made on the spot? Or can I ask for some time to decide? (I'm supposed to go there not knowing what's that training about. Coz they didn't say)..

Let me guess the computer test u said ok to everything right? Airborne,Scuba and climb mountains? I took only 2 of the options. Airborne and climb mountains..maybe thats why my batch was suppose to go to Guards after SISPEC haha. But i miss that boat cos get delayed at BMT.,...
