well my name is Martin and i have to admit i was'nt fond of it when i was growing up.but it must have been a popular name at the time(i'll be 41 in december)but here's the bad part i was supposed to be named Lawrence after my dad.but my sister had a friend at school named Martin(Martin Mullarchy)not sure about the spelling but you get the idea.Martin have been so bad if we had stayed in Glasgow you run into people named Martin there.but when we moved to the U.S. no-one is named Martin here.well hardly anyone.so cheer up Martin is'nt so bad.

Hi Martin

I hated my name when I was at primary school! I got so fed up with people saying "Rowan?... That's an unusual name...", I remember having a rant at my parents, asking why they couldn't have just named me John, Paul or George... not Ringo!

Later, of course, I discovered girls... who also said "Rowan?... That's an unusual name..." and I realised the value of any excuse to keep them talking!

Maybe my parents weren't so stupid after all...

Hey, imagine looking like your older brother....I was "Nathan-oops!-Sorry-I-mean-Matthew" or "Nathan's Little Brother". Or having McConnell as a last name; Ugh. Elementary school was horrible. "Hey! It's McConnell! That sounds like McDonald's! I'm gonna call you McDonalds now!" So, I'm going to be irrational for five seconds: Since I'm working at a McDonald's down the road, I'm going to call myself.....BIG MAC! Ha ha ha! Get it? :-) Okay, I'm back! I'm somewhat rational again. Oh, and I know this is , but don't ever, EVER eat at McDonald's! I've made the food, I've grilled it, I've fried it, and I've deep-fried it. Don't eat there again! Trust me!

P.S. I love my name. I'm named after the book!

my first name is dovilas, dovas for short. It wouldn't be such a bad name if it werent for the fact that people who speak english simply cannot wrap their minds around the syllables. Some grossly misspronounce it inserting fs and as everywhere. Some weak-minded teachers refuse to aknowledge the name, and simply rolecall me as douglas, which is when I politley remind them that my name has no g or u.

Okay lads and lasses...
I've tried to avoid this post for as long as possible... :-)
try wrapping your tongues around Rudolph Kitshoff Richardson ...
Thank goodness I had an aunt who decided to try and annoy mum by calling me Rudi, which thankfully stuck... if she hadn't I would be known as Rudolph to all... I still get the Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer bit every Christmas (:-)

I don't hate my name, but I have a middle name, which I never use. My middle name is Hamann. people always misspronounce it, so it sounds like Herman or with a very hard "H" so it sounds Arabic.
So Jesper Hamann Bjerregaard, is never used. Just plane and simple Jesper Bjerregaard.

LOL LMAO.....::::: Your pirate name is:
Calico Davy Kidd
Often indecisive, you can't even choose a favorite color. You're apt to follow wherever the wind blows you, just like Calico Jack Rackham, your namesake. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine reliable pirate. Arr!!!!!! LOL LMAO

hehe

Iron Sam Roberts

A pirate's life isn't easy; it takes a tough person. That's okay with you, though, since you a tough person. Two things complete your pirate persona: style and swagger. Maybe a little too much swagger sometimes -- but who really cares? Arr!

Ive gone from John christopher Keogh to Bloody john Cash coooooool. Must admit i like my name its Irish and confuses nearly eveyone who tries to say it or spell it. We traced it back to the 11th century even got a coat of arms "resist unto blood" is the motto we always are stubborn.
