Pearl Harbor, this actually being about Pearl Harbor and adding true factual events instead of HOLLYWOOD events, and keeping out the "Romance" parts, this wasnt freaking TITANIC PEOPLE !!!!!
Windtalkers, this time actually being about the indians and thier part of the war !! And not about Nicolas Cage being ABLE TO TAKE ON THE JAPANESE ARMY BY HIMSELFand HIS problems!!!!!
Pork Chop Hill, loved it the first time, think of what they could do with it now !!!!
Green Beret w/John Wayne, that could use a touchup.

Sink the Bismarck with modern CG ships and aircraft.
There has been several movies made about Admiral Nelson and Lady Hamilton, such as "That Hamilton Women" but I'd love to see a good one made that focuses on Trafalgar. It would be nice to have it by next year for the 200th anniversary, but I doubt it.
Waterloo, by 2015 for the 200th anniversary.
Not likely that any will be made, unless Tom Cruise takes it in his head to have one eye and one arm to play Nelson. Of course knowing Hollywood's infallible sense of history they'd probably have him missing his left arm.

i would say that i would like to see Kelleys Heros redone. Think it would be intresting to see it in a more modern technologically advanced way.

I was thinking about this too, but the age of the "funny" war movies is over, and has been replaced with the more realistic types like. saving private ryan, and band of Brothers

That got me thinking...it was redone. Anyone see "Three Kings" with George Clooney?
That's the problem with re-makes these days. They always have to "modernize" the story and make it more current day.
When (if ever) they remake Star Wars. It will be:
A FEW YEARS BACK IN A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY.

Frank, are you talking about the Errol Flynn movie from 1936, or the one from 1968? If you've never seen it there is a movie of the same name, The Charge of the Light Brigade, that is pretty historically accurate. It stars Trevor Howard as Lord Cardigan, John Gielgud as Lord Raglan, and David Hemmings as Captain Nolan. I'm not sure but I think it was based on a book, The Reason Why. It's critical of the British in general, and the British high command in particular but it's a pretty good movie.

Films that I would like to see remade!!?? mmmm well lets see now, how would you guys feel about these modern day actors remaking the following:
The Cross of Iron
Casablanca
The Desert Fox
Band of Brothers
Battle of Britian
Just to name a few movies to get my point across. I feel that, like the old saying says, if it ain't broken don't fix it!
I feel that hollywood really has no imagination so they have to remake a movie.......boring
Would you guys like to have these great movies that I posted remade?? I think not!

Remaking a movie to me is a waste of time and a waste of money for the consumer.
On DVD an original movie would cost between $10.00 to $15.00. But remake the same movie and it would cost most likely between $15.00 to $29.00. I hope I made my point on this issue.

I would like to see "The Omega Man","The Killer Elite", "The Warlord" and the "Wild Bunch" remade. 2 Heston and 2 Peckinpah movies. They were great the first time.

i agree, no BOB buuut..... if they made a movie with the WW2 pacific theme that was as good as band of brothers....WOW that would be awsome. battle of the bulge i thought was a catastrophic movie, oh man it was horrible, to remake it, would be an entirly different movie. now that kelly's heros in iraq HA i'd get a kick out of that. I'd also like to see a movie with more action on the eastern front following the german side, most movies have the allies as the ones being followed throughout the film....or is it just me

I believe that the Hank/Spielburg team is either still planning or has even begun working on a WWII in the pacific mini-series, BOB style.

Ciao,
The BIG RED ONE. But, I want it to be only about their invasion of Sicily and their march to Palermo. It would star all the big names (just like A BRIDGE TOO FAR.) and would combine elements of the German/Italian point of view (like THE LONGEST DAY.) Hmmmm, I like it already. Thank God Lee Marvin was cryogenically frozen! (God rest his soul)
Ciao for now

I am really not very fond of remakes. I really don't like when some Hollywood clown decides to make a classic "better" or to "reinvent" one. Great movies should be left alone. With this in mind, I guess I would have to pick a movie that wasn't very good the first time around. Unfortunately, I can't think of one right now.

I agree with Capt. Rich about remaking for great movies, leave the classics alone. But the Battle of the Bulge was a terrible movie and would love to see a remake of it. Midway is another stinker they could tweak.
