I'm not a lover of re-makes either...unless its to make a so-so movie into a doozie.
I think Casablanca should be left well alone.
No way would a remake capture the style, humour, dignity and the good script of the original...and acting of course.

But there are a few candidates...
Merryl's Marauders.
A Bridge Too Far...I like the original but given the Sgt Ryan treatment....
King Soloman's Mines,
Charge of the Light Brigade.
Battle of Britain.
633 Squadron.

I think that's enough to be going on with...lol.

It's not really military, but I would like to see Starship Troopers remade to follow the book more closely. The book had some wonderful ideas about citizen led countries and patriotism that were completely left out of that abominable movie.
