The thing with Webster is that he buys kits only for the props, wheels and engines. He throws away the rest and builds a plane from scratch. Hehehe!
Shonen, the sheet styrene can be cut up into smaller servings. The members usually buy a sheet and divide up. But the price is really quite cheap. Webster could be a source of a lot of materials since he really does build from scratch (masochist). Just tell Hunter or Bull if youre coming over for a meeting and we'll ask Web to bring some sheets.

Would that be for free? #:-) #:-) #:-)
How much does he sell for a size that of an A4 paper? I don't know about thickness but I guess 1mm thick would be fine.
I really want to but the darn proffesors keep bugging us with tons of work during weekends. Hope the plans for the IPMS-BAC South Chapter be accomplished. Sunday isn't really my day. I hope at certain point some meets end up at Saturdays :-)

Hello Shonen Red,
If you're okay on Saturdays, you might want to try coming over for the Gambier Bay group build. It's also at UP Diliman College of Fine Arts (although in a different building, not too far away). It normally starts around 10:30AM and ends around 5:00PM. It works like a "mini-meeting" of sorts & you can get to know the other guys better.
I'll let you know when the next Gambier Bay build will start. So far, wala pang schedule this year.

Do anyone of you know where to find Aclad and Model Master Metalizer spray can? Or any alternative? I tried silver leaf and aluminum but I'm not satisfied with the outcome. Bare Metal Foil is just too darn shiny.

Oh my, as I was passing by Virra Mall the other day, I went about my usual route of the specialty-toys stores there, and lo-and-behold! Old GI Joe figures are being re-sold at pretty hefty prices, considering say, Cobra Commander which could be procured before for a measly Php 120, now sells for around Php 5,000!

While shopping for a new knife, I came upon a very nice one in National Bookstore Pasay Rotonda. I don't remember the brand but I think it starts with an "M". The handle is plastic and the diameter of the handle is bigger than the Exacto's. It has a very sensible blade cover, a soft grip, and ribs on the other end that prevents the knife from rolling between your knees and hitting something preciousssss. Standard Exacto #11 blades are a perfect fit. Don't know if it comes in other colors but I got the red one. To top it all, it's more than 20 bucks cheaper than the Exacto. Try it you'll like it
