That is a very nice set-up you have there--well organized, neat, and aesthetically pleasing as well! Curious--what are the jars in the second shelf from the bottom? They look a bit like spices to me

Really, a very nice, compact set-up, especially where space is a factor.

I have my workbench in the corner of the livingroom. SWMBO actually sugested we bought this desk ,so I could do my stuff, in the livingroom. Unlike in the pics, I usually keep it fairly tidy. Airbrushing takes place outside.

On the workbench:
MPC: 1972 Pontiac GTO
Revell: 1965 Mustang
Verlinden 120mm guard of the marine.
Revell: 2010 Camaro
Monogram: 1931 Rolls Royce
Italeri: LVT2 Amtrac

Thanks, Rory. I'm pleased with how it turned out and it didn't take as long as I thought it would.
The jars you are speaking of are some House of Kolor branded model paint that Wal-Mart had on clearance for next to nothing. I bought every color I thought I might use but haven't tried them yet. The paint is very thin and should be ready to airbrush. They are 1oz bottles

Nothing feel thrilled seing others's workbench.
Here's mine. Not so good compare to others...

The two tables are PC tables get it for free from when my office throw them out for rennovation. The green chair is also taken from the office.
I install additional light at the wall and table lamp to give better illumination. A home made spray booth which is not so efficient and will be support with a 12" floor fan blowing away the airbrushing gasses out of the window...
Not so proud of it... in the process of designing a new booth.

Wow! Your kit stash is mind-boggling. I know hobby shops that don't have as many kits on hand as you do. Very nice....I am envious.

My workspace is always evolving. In fact a total remodel is scheduled this winter.

WOW! Love the glass display case. Very nice and quite a selection of models as well! I wish I had that kind of space to work with.

I keep seeing waist level workbenches with no kneehole. Do those of you with this setup model standing up?!

This always turns into a great thread,
I enjoy seeing other peoples set ups, and get ideas on improving my little space.
I recently updated the lights to one of those bathroom fixtures with 4 bulbs.
Slapped in 4 100 watt daylight fluorescent curly-Q's, and one in a drafting lamp, amazing difference in the lighting!

Ok here's mine I'll be the first to admit it may need a little organizing. Altought I've cleaned it a couple of times. I just can't find anything after I do.

I'll be making some renovations to mine here shortly over the winter months. Namely building a new paint booth as the one I am using just isn't cutting the mustard anymore. It will be a bottom draft with two exhaust fans, larger, more and better lighting. Right now, its hard to see well once the sun goes down even if I have all of my lights on. "Q"

I too really enjoy these kind of workbench threads, but then sorry for my pics, this will add just a little bit of misery after lush working places

In fact I used to have that:
But then since baby born, I was recommended not to use any dangerous products anywhere near the small mister, so basically I had to relocate in the garden. The garden is pretty small but at the end of it there's this shed:

Inside, I have been crushing all my material + the dioramas with a lot of resin in it whose toxic fumes (even when they are set since a couple of years) could still somewhat damage health.
So well, i share the place with all garden tools, t white plastic chairs, the thing to cut grass, a good dozen of spiders and a not so waterproof roof, but the addition of a small electric heating makes it quite a good place to be in

Wow! Is that a turntable I see? I almost forgot what those look like? Surely you must be using as a 360 degree workstation? I didn't think anyone else actually played records!

Oh man I love vinyls! I used to be a rock journo in my troubled past -what you see here is what i could make through the crowded flat, there are some more in the cellar!
But using a platter as a 360° workstation, that's a pretty good idea !!

Hi folks
It is cold here in Scotland but I took advantage of work throwing out old desks to revamp my 'huffin hoose'. New arrangement lets me sit, legs fully under desk. Better for the back.

My wife has an area too and is trying her hand at aircraft. Is good company with this layout.

My current project 1/24 DROPS with plans protected by clear perspex, built parts on top so I am able to see what parts I fancy building next.

I need to fix the island bench castors but I still have that for standing at. Rest of shed needs a bit of tidying and thinning out of reference material.
