Do these guys have a web site? I see hobbylobby.com and hobby-lobby.com, nothing about 50% off on either.

It's on the weekly newspaper ad: http://www.hobbylobby.com/site3/weekly/specials/week10.gif
Check the ad near the lower left corner.
It pays to watch their ads. I got a 50% off internet coupon right after Christmas and bought a Tamiya Dragon Wagon kit for about $30. I may go back this week and pick up a few Tamiya deuce-and-a-halfs and Jeeps.

It is too bad that Hobby Lobby is only located in the central part of the country.

Rattler, this means all Hobby Lobby stores have the sale. (as far as I know) :-)
What's that sound? I hear a Dragon Wagon calling my name!
Kinda funny, though. I told my mom news about the sale and she just gave me 'the look'. I then assured her there was only one kit (the M26) I really wanted... she gave me 'the look' again.
So, I think I really will stick to buying just one kit - for my own safety.

My Hobby Lobby has a really limited armor selection. Maybe one of you guys could pick up one of those $30.00 Dragon Wagons and sell it to me at cost? Seriously, I am gonna pick up at least one Priest and whatever else strikes me. The wife and I were out last Monday while she was buying "scrap booking" supplies and I told her I would wait because models were due to go on sale. Now it is my turn...

Yeah, but when I priced the Dragon wagon, it was 75.00 at Hobby lobby, so half of that would be 37.50.. I don't know if that's really a deal or not..

You buy a dragon wagon for $37.50 and send it to me. Hook me up with decent postage. They still retail for close to 70 bucks, don't they?

Where do you guys live? Here in Central Illinois, the Dragon Wagon is regularly priced at $79.99 - that's the version without the trailer.
I figure I might as well make my last model purchase (for a while) a doozy!

That's what I was thinking Yoda... The full Dragon Wagon smack still retails for close to a hundred bucks. I would snatch one up for 37.50. By the way, where abouts in Central Illinois? From deep in the heart of Central Indiana here....

hobbylobby.com says they are all closed on sunday. Also, their internet sales are done through an affiliated but separate company (craft, inc) and do Not include the retail sales promotions. Looks like those of us without a local store are screwed for now. Not that I would get away with buying more kits right now anyway....my girlfriend's already pissed I bought four at the last show I went to.

Just got back from Hobby Lobby. I bought the Italeri Priest, Tamiya's Duece and a half, Long Range Desert Group Chevy and the US infantry weapons set for $45.00. Not bad. The Dragon Wagon with out the trailer sells for 79.00.

Just back as well. My Hobby Lobby was a little low on selections, but I came away with two "Duece-and-ahalf"'s and a set of DML "Operation Varsity" para's for $37.00. I thought it was a good deal.

Yes but both my local hobby stores sell it for $75.00 so for $40.00 who's to complain. cheapest I have seen it for Keenan was $50.00 from model expo.

I just got back from Hobby Lobby! I managed to score the following, all for around $60:
* Tamiya Willys MB Jeep
* Dragon/DML Panzergrenadiers (Arnhem 1944) figure set
* Two old Tamiya Jerry Cans sets (I needed these)
* Tamiya M4 Sherman (Early)
* Tamiya Mobelwagen
* Tamiya Panzerkampfwagen V Panther
I'm pretty excited about it. I saved a bunch of money for some pretty good kits, no matter how you cut it.

RATS!
I'm jealous.
One thing I miss about moving from Texas is that there are no Hobby Lobbies up here in NY! I bought a lot of kits at HL over the years for ridiculously low prices.
SIGH!
Of course there's no room in the cupboard for any more unbuilt kits!
Cheers
and happy shopping!
Andy
