I love the show, although I could never figure out why a Winnebago?
Me too - maybe a joke about how big the Falcon was, like you could pile in the whole family and the dog on a camping trip...

Nope - first time either Blade Runner or ET got a mention! I liked them both.

Another Sci-Fi flick I thought was good, "Enemy Mine". With Lou Gossett Jr and Dennis Quaid. I think that's what it was called. Wow I had way to much fun in the 70's now I'm paying for it.

"Enemy Mine" is a great movie - I agree. I watch it every time it comes on TV. It doesn't appear that "Wing Commander" went over well in the theatres, but I liked it overall. Wasn't quite like the video game though...

I thought the cut scenes with "Rookie" and Mark Hamill from the game were much better than the movie, although I did like the sci-fi effects. It seemed like too much of the Wing Commander story line was cut to make it understandable.

Gunnie, "Wing Commander" I liked playing the game better than the movie. It's not everyday that you can have Ginger Lynn Allen tweaking your spaceship. And I mean that in a good way too, nothing perverted.

I'm with Rob and Ron there too - I played "Wing Commander" on the computer and thought it was cool. When the movie came out, I thought that would really be great, but it fell flat.
I think the same thing Rob felt they did to "Wing Commander" was the same thing they did to "The Phantom Menace" in effort to make the beginning of the Star Wars saga understandable to someone (from another planet) who's not familiar with the characters and other stories. The attempt really didn't satisify anyone in the end...

I agree, the Wing Commander game was cool. In fact it was the first computer game I ever owned...lol! The movie was ok but maybe could have been better.
Blade Runner was an excellent sci-fi flick as well.

Which movie version of DUNE? The latest that premiered on Sci-Fi Channel last year?

I liked Blade Runner too - it was "original" in it's time, the vision of the future pretty bleak but believable. I liked "Total Recall" because I could get into that world without too much difficulty. Sharon Stone wasn't hard on the eyes either...

'The Last Starfighter'? I think I saw it on the Disney Channel once. Was a little too cheesey for me. (if I thinking of the right one)
Another TV show that was a favorite of mine was Quantum Leap. It was cool seeing Sam go back in time to try to make the world a better place. I think I've seen all the episodes.

I was a late-comer to Quantum Leap. I never watched it when it first ran on TV, but caught on to it on the Sci-Fi Channel in syndication. Same with Bablyon 5 - I wouldn't watch it either when it first ran, but got into it after the syndication run.
I guess I'm a finicky TV watcher - the Nielsen Ratings Group should poll me!

Heh heh - which American version of Godzilla sucked - there was more than one? The King Kong suit had to be the worst Japanese Monster flick costume to ever hit the screen, gawd did Kong look ratty!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I can't take it now more!!! I was just watching this go on and on just to see what movies would be mentioned...but...eeeek!
No one mentioned one of the best classics of all moviedom!
H.G. Wells War of the Worlds. Come on now! ...2001- A Space Odyssey!!! Remember Hal?
With other favorites being: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Creature From the Black Lagoon, The Curse of Frankenstein, The Blob, The Fly, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Fantastic Voyage, Phantasma, Westworld, Dreamscape, and Dune.
And also I loved all the Sinbad movies, and um I can't remember it. It had the coolest sword fight scene with those skeletons, they were after the golden fleece, and had to fight the hyda. Eeeeek, I forget for now...burnt out from all the above.

Nothing beats the Japanese model tanks and Jeep mounted missile systems that they used in monster movies. That's probably what bankrolled Tamiya, all those Type 61 tank kits getting stomped on by a guy in a rubber suit.

Hey Gunnie, nice graphic! Big surprise tho' that you picked a guntruck...
BTW, how did

Nope - no Latin. I uploaded a little .jpeg I had onto one of my website pages. Then I inserted a line of html code into my signature block, like this:
"img src=URLwheretheimageislocated" - I had to remove the tag headers to make this appear...
And, voila - there is is...
