Gameweek 3 . Where i had only half a team playing :-). But on a brighter note (for me at least) i transfered Bent (Everton) for Andrew Cole

We have 1 new player this week ... Peter "Flitzer" Allen. Great to see you here buddy!

Results after gameweek 4 (Positions after week 2 in brackets)

1__Swansea United (richard wilkins)................192 (8)
2__Blackburn Weasels (Ed Tanski)...................190 (7)
3__betheyn2 (Andy Brazier)..................................179 (1)
4__Plasticbattle (frank glackin)............................174 (5)
5__Tarok (Rudi Richardson)................................164 (3)
6__J G United (Janine Glackin)...........................163 (2)
7__DaveCox (Dave Cox).......................................153 (5)
8__Helsingborgs IF (Thomas Bertilsson).........139 (4)
9__Holland 1 (Henk Meerdink)............................130 (9)
10_Legion of Doom (Marty Wasiak)....................114 (11)
11_tankysgal1 (mary langley)...............................112 (10)
12_Flitzers Donkeys (Peter Allen)..........................48 (n/a)

Sorry, I didnŽt get a chance to update the scores after week 3, as it ran so tight, to week 4.
A lot of movement this week..... up and down, with some teams only playing one game over the 2 weeks.
Andy was knocked off the top spot for the first time (prayers are answered .. :-) )
Ed knocked up an amazing 71 points on week 4. Richard and Ed are the big two movers while Andy, Rudi, and Dave fell two places. Janine and Thomas fell 4 places.
Marty and mary are still fighting to get out of the relegation places and new boy Flitzer has kindly taken over the automatic relegation place! WeŽll probably get some pathetic excuse like its his first week or something :-) :-) :-) :-)
No football next weekend unfortunately. Until the next time, then!.

Part of the reason that I fell two places was some transfers that lost me points now, but hopefully will do me some good later on. That cost me 12 points!

I'm in. A bit late, I know, but oh well. The very unoriginal name 'Daves Team 1.' I normally don't pay much attention to football but I thought I'd try this anyway.

Ive also made 3 substitutes, but over 3 weeks, so they didnŽt cost me any points at all! Its all a gamble ... maybe I could have made up that 12 points in the meantime. I actually was considering buying bent from charlton afew weeks ago. He now costs 7.9, up from 7.

I made a free transfer and one not-so free one...

Sorry... my bad re. Arsenal... was looking at wrong week...

I see Owen has confirmed he's going to Newcastle so that Souness can destroy his career ... He must finally have got the clue that Rafa Benitez doesn't want him :-) Anyone here thinking of taking him?

Just looked on the transfer list and Owen's name isn't on there yet. If he was in any other team i might consider buying him, but Newcastle's problem at the moment is there is noone to deliver the ball into the box, espaically now Dyer is out injured. Anyway it has cost me 4 pts to finally get my team right. My transfers in and out.
out in
29 Aug Bent (6.5) Cole (7.7)
29 Aug Kiely (4.5) Warner (4.0)
23 Aug Sibierski (6.4) Reo-Coker (5.7)
21 Aug Stubbs (4.4) Gardner (4.2)
I now have competition for places (Gerrard's on the bench hehehe) so you have been warned, Victory will be MINE and mine alone

Not so fast my friend! I've given up 8 points to get my squad in the shape that I wanted. You can see the results (71 points) my nearly ideal squad brought in for me, and I was able to upgrade it further without any more loss of points this week. My only concern is John Terry's knee injury, but I should have enough scoring power on the bench to make good his absence.
I'm afraid for everyone else, much like Chelski could run away with the Premiership, Tanski (that's my name, just in case) could run away with the Armorama Cup.

That was my thought about Owen as well... without a solid mid-field he's pretty useless... it's not like he's gonna actually go a fetch the ball is he??? I think they'll put him on the transfer list after he officially signs today...

I'm still panelbeating my team... My transfer list at the moment...

24 Aug Cisse Out - Le Tallec In........ had the wrong Cisse :-)
24 Aug Pistone Out - Vignal In
22 Aug Fowler Out - Diouf In

I'm considering trading Mokoena... he's not performing to my satisfaction....

Terry's out for the next game at the very least...

Later

OKOKOK>>>>Can someone teach me what im doing wrong??????..My team sucks...LOLOL..
Mary

Hey Mary,

Just had a squizz at your team... If I may offer some friendly advice... Your captain is injured, so it might be a good idea to make someone like Keane or Shearer captain... as the captain gets double points (or something like that).... other than that your team doesn't look too bad... might come together nicely as the season wears on... the one player I would either trade or relegate to the bench is Fortune... he's a glorified bench warmer... :-) :-) :-)

Best of luck to all for game week 5....

Rudi

Congratulations on winning the league, Andy. At least I was able to make it interesting again in the last couple of weeks. No championship for me, but second should be good enough for a Champions' League spot.
