The one thing about life is, nothing is forever, Gary was doing a lot of armor until Jim give him the position in the float section, I thought it was a mistake at first, cause Gary was the only friend I had out of management to talk to, then when somebody said he was management to, I even wrote to him and said somebody made a mistake and said your in management now.

Then he goes, yes, can you believe it, I said, I thought you didn't have time, then he said, I'm here all the time, I might as well be, I have no better fun any where else. Then Jim called me up and offered this position, and I excepted, he said.
So I agreed with him, and congratulated him on his new position.

He will be missed, but I know he has been picked to do other things far greater then we have here.

Take care Gary, we will miss you, it is so hard to say good bye to good friends.

Does anyone know where Garry lived? What does everyone think about getting teogether and possibly sending flowers to his family? I think it would be a very good gestrue as he was a "Big" part of our family here at Armorama. What does everyone think? Any one have any other suggestions? Kevin

Good speed to Gary and His family. 55 is way too young to leave, so many things to do, so many kits to build. While I didn't know him, from what I can tell from the posts abive that he will surly be missed, but he shall live on in the memories of those that did know him.

I am terribly shocked by this sad news...

Garry was a real friend and we were talking yesterday, since I had just arrived from a little vacation.
Making the flattop campaign renamed in his honour just sounds little to me!
He was the great motivator and real engine in the warship area, and i can say that he will be greatly missed...

I knew that he had pneumonia, but this is really to much...

If any of the members have the contact of Garry's Family please could give my sincere condolencies...

The best way I can honour this great friend and Armorama member is to share his welcome PM message that he send me yesterday, one of several

I didn't know him as well as you all did, but he seemed to be a very nice guy. My condolences to the family.

I think maybe we should, on the forum that is, award Garry the User of the month award then name the UOTM after him.

Though I've just gotten to known Garry only just a little through his "Dreadnought" and "Tank Destroyer" Campaigns, I, like so many others am deeply saddened by his loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I know we'll all honor his memory and contributions to Armorama by continuing to support each other with the energy, integrity, and enthusiasm that Garry exemplified. I'll dedicate my builds for "Dreadnoughts" and "Tank Destroyers" to his memory.

I can't believe this. I got up this morning and checked my email before going onto Armorama. In my in box were two emails from Garry. My first thought was great, Garry is sending me some joke, or some more photos of a ship, like he had done in the past. Instead it was one of his relatives telling me of their loss.

My wife says nobody knows of their tomorrow. That is true. Just yesterday Garry replied to one of my posts, and it just felt good reading his response. I have never met Garry in life, I wouldn't know him from Adam if I ran into him at Hobby Lobby, but I feel like I've lost a great friend. We once did a trade for a model, he threw in another model, just because. Because he was a great guy.

I will miss him.

I'm praying for you Garry.

My heartfelt condolences to the family.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

And to Garry, wherever you are

Fair winds and a following sea.

This floored me when I read this sad news this morning. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to his family. He has paid his dues and is now with his brothers in heaven. It is always hard for the ones that are left behind.

Jim we need to start an Honor Roll for are departed members here on Armorama.

Gary was a class act and had more enthusiasm in his little finger than 10 of us put together. He will be sorely missed. My best wishes to his family and friend. If anyone knows where flowers etc can be sent can you please let me know.
