Mostly on Sunday when my kids come to visit and for dinner. My Son, Son inlaw and I we like to play PS2's Nascar's 04-05, Stuntman, Ace Combat, Navy Seals along with a few others. On my computer I'll play Delta Force, Solider of Fortune, Vietnam and a few racing games.

I am pretty sure you are not alone. I have been known to fire up Gran Tourismo 2 for extended periods of time on my old PS. I'm too cheap to by a PS2 though, when it comes down further in price, I'll try the newer version of the game. Other than that I play A Bridge too Far on my PC.

I played almost all WW2 and Nam war related games in PC with my older son.Last night we finished Call of Duty-expansion pack United Offensive with him. Another one I have been playing for a long while is Cyberia 2 . it is a good and different game with best graphics I have ever seen.not action but lots of thinking.

I like too much Age of Empires and any flight simulator, but just in the PC. I am playing at night, when everybody will sleep. At night I don't see very well to build my models. Hehehe
:-)

PS: Sometimes I play Suberbike to remind the old times.

I finished Half LIfe 2 over the weekend. I have been playing games on PC for longer than I care to remember and HL2 is the best I have ever seen. Outstanding graphics, good mix of logic puzzles and action and the best physics engine I have seen. Finished the CoD expansion before that.
HL2 came bundled with the latest version of Counter Strike so I have been learning how to play that on line. That has pretty involved me getting shot in the head about every two seconds.
Anyway, yeah, I guess I have been playing video games, some (too much.)

Shaun

Oh, and one of the best wargames I have played is a free download. It is Steel Panthers: World at War. Huge download but WELL worth the wait. Hundred plus scenarios for every theater of WW2.

I've been a video gamer for longer than I care to remember! Started out on a trusty Atari 2600, moved onto Intellivision & Colecovision. Then, the start of "PC" games on the Atari 800XL on through my latest machine.

I got back into console games with the release of the XBox. I really like that system and the games just keep getting better for it.

As for types of games, I love First Person Shooters (original Doom anyone?) and strategy games such as Command & Conquer. Mainly FPS these days.

Lately, I've been bouncing between Halo 2, Ghost Recon 2, and Greg Hasting's Tournament Paintball. All three are fantastic for their target audience.

I too play video games, mostly first person shooters but also NHL and racing games. Right now I am trying to get through Legendary in Halo 2 and it is without a doubt 10 times harder than Legendary in Halo 1. On PC, I play Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield and the expansion pack Athena Sword.

FIFA 2005
NBA 2005
NHL 2005
Call of Duty (+ expansion pack)
Codename Panzers
Full Spectrum Warrior
Men of Valor - Vietnam
Conflict Vietnam

These are some of the PC games I have been playing lately. Yes, you could say that I spend entirely too much time in front of my PC. One of these days I will try to get a good nights sleep.

I really like Combat Mission 2-Barbarossa To Belin on the PC. It's offers a huge range of game options and I particularly like creating my own scenarios, especially as the game is historically accurate in terms of men and machines.

I try to spend more time building models than playing X-Box, but somtimes I just get stuck in that chair in front of the TV. I love to play all the Ghost Recons, Castle Wolfenstein, both Halos plus any of the Rally Car games. On my PC all time favorite is BF1942.

Lots and lots of gamers here... I'll join the club as well.

I play Americas Army, Call of Duty, Ghost Recon (can't wait for GR2 on PC but I am a little sceptical about it with the whole 3rd person view), used to play a lot of Rainbow Six games (all of them). Microsolft Combat Sims (Pacific and War over Europe), IL-2 Sturmovik including the expansion pack, Black Hawk Down with the expansion and last but not least Joint Operations.

I do most of the gaming online now... lots of fun so if you see a Tommy_Guns or a Jaro1... it might be your fellow Armorama member.

PS. Bullettooth... you wouldn't happen to have been or work for Ubi Soft would you?

I like to jam SOCOM Navy Seals on the PS2 and Halo on the Xbox. There is nothing like network play in Halo. Halo2 comes with online capabilites where the original didn't. You could only connect multiple XBoxes together. For the PC I like Counterstrike and Halflife

Tommy_Guns - I'm not sure about the forthcoming PC version of Ghost Recon 2, the the third person view on the XBox is an option. So far, I've played it that way and it's worked well. The character movements are phenomenal to watch.

Wow, I didn't expect this kind of a response!

Right now I am mostly playing CoD:UO online (love the new game modes). Someone else mentioned HL2 as the best game they have ever played, and I would have to agree with them, especially since I never played the first one. But HL2... Man that game was intense, it was like playing out a real sci-fi movie!

I also noticed some GR fans out here. It's funny that comes up as I work at Ubisoft as the Community Manager for Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six. GR2 is a bit different than original GR, but nothing like people have made it out to be in terms of difference. It is the #2 game played on Xbox Live right now, and even I as a hardcore PC gamer have been enjoying it on my Xbox!

For anyone that plays online, you all should check out Xfire at www.xfire.com Xfire is an instant messenger that allows you to IM someone while they are in-game without having to alt-tab to your desktop. It also allows you to join a friend by clicking on their name. It's quite awesome! If anyone gets it, post your username and I'll share mine. Maybe we can get some games sometime!

Cheers,

BT

Hey October, I too am a CM addict. I play all three games but CMBB is hands down my favorite. Maybe we can try a PBEM sometime.

The new Axis & Allies RTS looks sweet! Also, I heard Codename: Panzers is pretty decent. I'm a big Rome and Medieval Total War fan as well.

That would be really interesting Joseph, maybe after Christmas when I could give it my proper attention?
October

Those other games sound worth a look Bullet Tooth, I used to play Talentsofts Eastern Front but unfortunatly it's too dated now when compared to the likes of CM. I've dabbled with Fighting Steel WW 2 Surface Combat but its a bit too much of a specialised interest one to enjoy the game play totally.
Then of course there's Kasparov Chessmate but I won't be beating the man himself just yet :-)
