Ack...you mean Ford made Escorts in Europe in the 60's??

For me my first car (and first car "love") was my 1967 Pontiac LeMans. She was off-white and I called her "Shadowfax". hehe...I actually didn't call her a "she" back then so I guess I am waxing romantic a bit.

I have owned a few though let's see...

1967 Pontiac LeMans
1982 Pontiac Firebird
1981 VW Rabbit
1987 Chevy Spectrum (what was I thinking)
1988 VW Jetta
1972 Pontiac LeMans (a shadow of my first one)
1991 Honda Civic DX
1979 Plymouth Volare (grandma's car after my Honda got totaled)
1991 Honda Civic DX (a clone of above - also totaled)
1995 Honda Civic Coupe DX
1985 Toyota MR2
1987 VW Cabriolet
2004 Honda Civic Coupe LX (ack...my 13th, but so far lucky)

And if you want to talk cars you can always use my rather "unused" car forum at:

forums.autofxzone.com

Cheers,
Jim

My first set of wheels was a 1971 Ford LTD. By the time I drove it, the car was already 19 years old. Still, I loved it.

My first set of wheels was a '78 Mercury Bobcat...Dad says he paid $150 for it, but I think someone paid him to take it off of their hands. I drove it for about a year and bought a '79 Ford Pinto, which was basically the same as the Bobcat, just one had a trunk, the other a hatch. Drove it for awhile, and bought my first sports car....'79 Mazda RX7....silver, called it the Silver Bullet....wish I still had that car today.
I then had a '79 Chev Impala, big tank that it was, and then I finally made it out of the 70s with an '82 Ford step side pick up.....but I only had it for 2 weeks, it was found that the truck was from the US, and still had copper brake lines....apparently a very big no no on the safety dept, so buddy basically lost his licence for selling used cars over it...lol

Then I hoofed it or used my parents car/truck for a few years, worked in Northern Canada, where the main mode of transportation was my '91 Formula XTC Skidoo.

Once I came back, I bought my first brand new car, and surprisingly enough, its still alive and kicking with over 272000kms on it, '97 Hyundai Accent.

I built the trike in 1998. The body is hand laid fiberglass over a box tube frame. It is powered by a 1600cc VW engine. The 23 T Bucket is powered by a Chevy 350 with a 350 trans. The Bike started out as a 1100cc Yamaha Virago. I made the tank, fenders and floor boards for it. I painted it with house of colors crimson red. with 8 coats of clear.

My first car was a 1967 Olds Vista Cruiser -- just like the one Eric drives on "That 70s Show." We called it "The Tank." It was a heck of a party wagon -- great fun at the drive-in movie.

I also had a Corvair van that my Dad and I lovingly restored, only to have the enter electical system fry the first time we took it out in the rain.

My favorite car was a '70 Ford Torino with a 351 Cleveland engine. That car would really get up and run. Unfortunately, by sister totalled it when I was stationed in Germany.

My first was a dark green (almost RAF colors) 1972 Dodge Dart Demon, 2-door, slant 6 225 cu. in., back when you could see the engine rather than hoses. And it wasn't that old when I got it in high school. Now I feel old. And now I'm doing the suburbia thing. I drive a 1997 Ford Escort, and my wife drives the 1998 Ford Windstar minivan. Could be worse, I guess. No wood grain paneling. But I do lust after the 1965 Ford Mustang down the street.

My first machine was a 1980 rally sport camero. I got it when I was 18 in 1988. Oh to be a teenager again.
