Some people shouldn't be allowed to wear a unitard (is that even a word?), especially this guy. Oh and yes, he definitely needs to get out more.

On the upside, pretty cool lighting on the costume. On the downside, I am blind now...

As a Rennie (a Renaissance Faire Actor/Participant), I have seen worse...trust me! I can relate to "the wearing of differant clothes as a hobby" as I have about $2,000.00 in ren faire attire.
It was the only way I could wear the 28 swords in my collection!

Cuhail

P.S. Wanna see the pics?

I think this guy should buy himself a REAL big generator (with wheels) and it would save batteries. Perhaps he could also do us a favor and go out a lot in rainstorms....Jim

Alright Freak lovers all,
This is Lord Cuhail McMurphy of County Cork, Eire on the left, Envoy of Lord McCarthy to Queen Elisabeth I of England. Most of you would know Lord McCarthy as Lord Blarney.
On the right is my brother Brad as Lord Gunner Alewulf, Norwegian Chieftain.
Circa 1599 in the Shire of Bristol, England nicely recreated in Bristol, Wisconsin.
I have better pictures, though I have to get them from my main computer.

Freaks Abound!

well i dare say if anyone here recognises this family member they will now know that the secure mental facility that they used to visit this person in, is not as secure as it used to be! :-) :-)

I just love this bampot, loony tunes and all,but speaking of family members! he does not appear to have one,he is dressed neither to the right,or the left,so maybe we can breathe a sigh of relief that he is the last of his race. :-) :-) :-)

Cuhail - are you a member of the SCA?

I haven't sent in my dues yet, but I participated in the Lusty Month of May festivities a couple of years ago and had a BLAST!

I even got to sit with our Duchess and a few other Ladies and we sat and read or did needlework while the men sparred to show their mettle.

There is even a female Squire in our area and she was VERY good. She looked every inch a Squire while fighting and then looked ASTOUNDING when she changed into her 'feast attire' for the evening meal.

SCA is very cool, imo. I'm trying to convince Hiram to give it a go.

Granted Murph, dropping 2K semmolians on Faire Attire (is it just me or is that spelling a bit close to...er...'Fairey'...) can be construed as a bit "Eccentric". Honestly, though, who would YOU poke fun at- The 200+lb bald guy w/28 swords in his posession, or the lumpy doofus in a neon leotard with a frisbee stuck to his back?!?!

[EDIT] in the interest of fairness I will admit to having (several times in my adult life) dressed as a Cardassian, Borg, Romulan, Terminator, & pervert. I'll find some pics if I need to put myself on the spot...
[EDIT EDIT] Hi Brenda!! Sorry for talking Mike's ear off last night- I was glad he called. Hope all's as well as can be expected...

I have to agree that the guy who built the Tron outfit, while talented to some degree is more than a little creepy, LOL! But I think DragonCons, etc. are kinda neat sometimes, so I won't pass judgement on him as to whether he's really a "freak" or not.

For me going to the SCA event(s), I make my own costumes (all medieval style) and I've been to a fair share of Ren. Faires, too. I just love the time period. (Well, the romanticized version of it where there aren't starving serfs 'dirt farming' and such.)

For me, things like the SCA and Ren. Faires are just an extension of my die-hard D&D gaming persona.

And Rob - it was no problem at all. I went to bed around 5:30 last night and slept 'til 7am this morning, LOL! I didn't even know you two had talked until he told me this morning. (Yes, I was *that* tired ) I'm just glad you two got to chat finally. And we'll make some arrangements to either have you and yours down for a visit or for us to head up your way. *hug* And yes, things are as well as one can expect at the moment. So far, so good.
