Don't people pay that much attention anymore? I tell you, what is the world coming to. I pulled this out of the Armorama gallery.

Yeah that antenna is way out of scale, the wrong shape, not seen in my references and probably the wrong color. I would have gone with a steel color sted of flat black.

Seems to me like it is a kit from the manufacturers' stand of Accurate Armour. Best write to them that the antenna is a wee bit out of scale. I f they care that is....

What? Somebody post somethin?

Shaun :-)

Edit I will take off my sarcasm pants long enough to just say this: Today is "National Stop on Red Day" here in the states. Apparently there are so many people not paying attention to automatic traffic signals that we now have a "Day" to remind people to stop at the red lights.
Sad really. Unedit

Something to do with paying attention. Is that a new stealth tax? :-) :-) :-)

Actually I'm so broke this month I can't even afford to pay attention!

I think he's trying to point out that the sign says "DO NOT TOUCH" and yet there is a broken light on the roof of the tractor cab. Someone must have touched ...

Apparently Chip finds it annoying that the flashlight if th truck has broken off, and nobody has repaired it. The arrow he has drawn to point this out looks more or less like a whip antenna. As obvious nobody foud the broken flashlight interesting enough, the focused on the arrow.......

On a more serious note... AA are a company who do their research very seriously. It pains me when certain ill-informed people use something like this to take a swipe at them... For the information of the amusing/amused, AA have two contracts - one with Oshkosh and the other with LandRover. In other words their products are licensed which means they have access to documentation and plans that few others have...

Secondly, when I visited their factory in Scotland at easter, I was treated with the utmost courtesy - sniping at a company which has done nothing but promote our hobby (and constantly solicits opinions from the modellers) strikes me as childish, vindictive and grankly about as amusing as trauma surgery...Jim

Why so touchy? I didn't read any sniping of AA, I believe we were sniping the nit-picker with the fuzzy antenna tool.
Again, lighten up Francis :-)

i hate to bring this up while everyone seems to be singing the praises of trumpeter but i believe AA has filed a few complaints against them as far pirating some parts of their kits.

For those who may not realize, this is a big deal. I used to live in Oshkosh and have several relatives and friends who do or did work for Oshkosh Truck. They are very protective of their logo and truck designs. God help you if you try taking pics through their fence. They only road test locally at very late at night -- and parts of the trucks are often covered.

We had a guy in our local model club who was hired to make models for display in the corporate offices. He had to get written permission to even show them to us (no photos, please). If he would have showed us the plans they provided, they would have sued him back to begging on the curb for spare change.

I'm very suprised they licence any of their truck designs for models.
