Bob, this came right from the horse's mouth - personally knowing NOTHING about Oshkosh's 'Corporate Policy' and tragically little about their products I find what you are saying absolutely fascinating.. I don't know how AA managed to swing that deal with Oshkosh - possibly it was a question of them considering that AA would do justice to models of their prototypes...

It certainly confirmed for me thatt AA are a very serious group of people - as I'm Scottish myself we do have a reputation for 'dourness' and taking things seriously (to an exagerated form )

The contract/agreement they have with LandRover is equally interesting - each contract only allows them to produce a 'batch' of variants and as there are over 50 current variants....

Makes the head spin when you think about it - imagine DML signing contracts with Porsche to produce Tiger models....Jim

i hate to bring this up while everyone seems to be singing the praises of trumpeter but i believe AA has filed a few complaints against them as far pirating some parts of their kits.

Martin, it’s sarcasm (as Jim picked up)! I believe that neither Matt nor I were singing Trumpeter’s praises in this one! Maybe (Read with heavy sarcasm) it is just a coincidence that Trumpeter released their Strv 103 (B & C), AS90 and 3 Challenger II kits, kits that AA were the sole producer of at the time, but who knows?

Mainly why I said “PS: When is AA going to do a M4A2 (early), we might then finally have one in plastic.”
