So do I and 3 more BAC members (2 of us live in San Pedro. One more guy in Las Pinas and another near Bicutan).
I have a suggestion, let's meet on the Sunday contest at UP. I'll be picking up Shonen and Lonewolf tomorrow at Festival Mall on the way there. Anybody interested, let me and Shonen know.
If it's not feasible (if you prefer a different day), I'm pretty much open to other options you all have in mind.

Ba't ngayon ko lang nabasa 'to? Sana nakasama ako... wuhuhuhu
Anyway, by saying BAC do you mean the IPMS Bert Anido Chapter? I was in STC early last week and I was given an application form for IPMS Manila. I did some research over the net and found out that it is a different entity from BAC. Upon further scrutiny I found out na they are based somewhere in QC. Wow, napakamalayo! I also found out na may IPMS South Manila Chapter based here in Alabang although wala atang website and I dunno how to contact the group. Where is BAC based? Ano requirements to join the group? Pwede ba ako sumali?

Same as you Cbrain21 I was also late in reading the post....waaaahh
. I was in Makati that day....baka di rin ako makasama dahil Sunday is a family day for us (kailan kaya ako magkakaroon ng warthog day...hmmmm). As for the EB, sayang...during weekdays I am usually here in Makati (where I work)...if any of you are w/in the area we could EB(?)...just advise in advance para mahanda ko mga banderitas...he he he..
Anyway, I did not know that there are other IPMS chapters aside from the BAC...

same questions i have in mind, sirs! The application forms that "scatter" are those of different IPMS chapters... are there requirements needed to join IPMS-BAC?

Yes. Actually, that is still being being conceptualized. BAC is based in UP-Diliman (Coll. of Fine Arts). But don't worry. We only meet once a month (usually the 2nd Sunday of the month). But in April we will have it early due to Holy Week.
My advice is, try to look us up or if you like you can try to contact any of the officers who'd be glad to fill you in. Don't let distance intimidate you. A lot of us do go out of our way to travel there and believe me, it's worth the trip. You've got to see so you'll know why.

Nothing much. Except that you are only passionate or appreciative of the hobby. On top of that, we welcome anybody with open arms. I suggest you get in touch with flawrc since he is the one who processes member applications for BAC. I do suggest you visit us in our meetings so you'll see what's it like to be among us. Believe me, it's worth the trip. Since you live in the south, I'd be glad to pick you up and bring you home. Just coordinate with the others para sabay-sabay. As they say in the military, "nobody gets left behind."

Where is IPMS-BAC stationed, sir? How often are the meetings and what days, usually?

CSMeekai, Sundays lagi ang meet nila from 1400h. Minsan umaabot sila hanggang 1900h depende kung nag-eenjoy pa ang lahat. Doon sila sa Fine Arts building, sa Bartlet?? Hall. Maliit lang yung fine arts building kaya madali lang maghanapan.

Hi CSMeekai and Cbrain,
IPMS-Bert Anido Chapter meets once every month. It's usually on the third week of every month at the UP Fine Arts building (Bartlette Hall). However, the dates change because of holidays and other events.
Come do visit us and enjoy the camaraderie.

[/quote]Our base is UP (Diliman) College of Fine Arts. We regularly hold our meetings once a month (every 2nd Sunday) but next month, we'll hold it earlier because of the Lenten Season. So you see, this allows us to block off a spot in our calendar. Which leaves the rest for work/study and family. It's a matter of being willing to sacrifice just one Sunday in a month and trust me, it is worth it.

Does this mean that your next meet would be on the 4th of April? What happens during these regular monthly meetings? Model kit building ba, or are there like seminars or tutorials on some tips and tricks of the trade from the gurus? Or is it something like a round-table discussion of organization matters?

Yes. But in special cases, we may hold it twice in a month (depending on the cicrumstances). We do have a "working" meeting. you may bring your model and build it on the spot if you like. You can even solicit help from the guys there so you can improve your skill or impress them with a well-built model you may bring.
Of course, like any meeting, we have agendas to discuss. But after that, we usually have "bull sessions" (no offense EG) where you can chat and have an impromptu discussion groups with anybody there. Believe me, if modeling is your passion, you'll feel right at home. You won't find any place or bunch who are as passionate to the hobby as we are as far as this country is concerned.

You can contact the officers of the club (El-Jefe, fiawrc, Bull, 4eyes, Buck) or some of the new members such as us. Anyways, taga-south naman kayo, might as well sabay-sabay na lang tayo para walang maligaw. :-)

Does anybody have successfully mixed Gunze (acrylic) paints to come up with the proper shade of Russian Interior Blue/Green? Ano po yung naging paint/mix ratio ninyo?
The color is available only as Testors #2135 but this brand of paint isn't available in the 3 hobby shops I regularly go to, namely STC (Festi), Hobbytoi (ATC), and Lil's (PS1).
Help!

Sorry guys, I won't be coming this meet. I have to study for next weeks (12-17) finals. Yeah, masyadong ngang maaga pero parang penitensya ko na rin ngayong Holy Week.
