Gun Truck: I did the same thing when I bought my skis. Had to get a truck and rack to carry them around.

Stash? I don't like the idea of having to carry it around where ever we go due to a lack of a real permanent residence. So I have around 2 or 3 as of the time being.

See - another Master of this school of thought! I knew I liked you for a good reason! #:-)
We put down an offer on a four bedroom home last Saturday - with a custom workshop already built into the Garage space. It was accepted - our first home! The owner knows about my workshop and hobby business already - I can clean out my external storage space and bring my models home. Another portion of the Garage is already sectioned off so that I can move in my shelves and kits without any modifications. The money I save in rental now goes to the mortgage payment. The owner is so cool that we're gonna get keys next week so that I can move in piecemeal - it's hard to move a model workshop and collection as you guys know. I can move delicates as fast as next week - though we don't officially move in until April 1st. I'll even be able to setup power, cable TV, phone and DSL connections there before moving in.
I should have purchased my SUV tire last year - I might have had a truck by now for the move...

Hey Gun Truck - Congratulations on the first home!! It was ten years till my wife and I had bought our first house - we still live in it!! My model collection was restricted while we lived in base housing - especially overseas.
