This thread is our local version of the Buy, Sell, Trade forum of the site.

I reckon many of us have some parts, tools, accessories, or whole kits that we would be willing to sell, trade or just plain give it away.

Post in this thread if you need something. If you have what that person has, post a reply.

NOTE: I hope IPMS-Phils (BAC) can help out as well. I reckon quite a number of modellers of the club have some stockpiled kits and perhaps might want to sell, buy, or trade.

Waitaminit! Wont we get in trouble for this? There might be some issues with Armorama advertisers and all...

There's no legal nor moral issues here Buck. Armorama has a forum dedicated to trading, buying and selling stuff. However, that forum is "too large" for our goals, i.e. most of us here probably don't even go to that forum regularly, and even if we do, some here I reckon wouldn't have a PayPal account to pay for the purchases, thus inquiring there would be futile. Plus there's also the shipping involved.

Also, what this thread's aim is for us local model builders to help each other out by swapping or selling parts, whole kits, or tools among ourselves. The second purpose of this thread is to minimize the occurence of future "I'm looking for..." threads. This thread in a way serves as a 'market place' for us. It doesn't hurt the advertisers AFAICS. After all, we're simply buying kits - some probably old, like the Tamiya Chieftain I'm asking for - from other model builders who have them and are unwilling to build them because of time, money, or simply lost their love for it, relieving them of a 'burden' (name it: storage space, sentimental value, etc.). Like me, I lost my love for one of my Zeldas. I sold it to Jeepney instead with a discount (it's not nice for the model kit to just stay there, unbuilt, gathering dust. It's supposed to be built, so why not let someone else who needs it build it? ) While SR will be getting some Abrams parts for free from me on Feb. 7.

This is basically yet another support thread (like the stores and the notable finds threads). I reckon the same thing is being done in other forums and even by PMs, so no harm done.

SR: What kind of figures do you need? Because I suck at figures, I have quite a number in 1/35 from all that armor kits, as well as some Dragon figures probably. After the midterms, I'll go check my spares box and tell you what I have.

Tanker25, try STC or Lils. They both have the Academy Mk. III - the only kit I know of that vehicle in plastic

I'm looking for either a shop or a person that sells:

Tamiya Centurion
Tamiya 1/35 Modern US Accessories (the latest set)
Tamiya or Zvezda T-72
Zvezda BTR-80 or -70
AFV Club Scimitar
Italeri LVT(A)1 Alligator

Paasche Airbrush supplies (specifically, siphon jar caps)

Nothing in particular. I'll go for modern soldiers particularly modern era (ODS, OIF). If anyone of you do have 1/48 and 1/72 pilots (WWII - modern), I'm in need of those too. :-)

Anyone got spare rubber tracks for 1/35 M1A1HA?

How about some decent T-34/76 tracks. Rubber is good as long as it is tamiya or any brand w/c is not too short & highly inflexible. Indy tracks are gladly appreciated.

hey Gi thanks for the number. But the thing is ,when i called Lils park square about the units and prices, i was surprised na hindi raw nila sinsabi sa phone ang price nila. You must come over daw to know the price.

Why is that? is not a big deal naman, the purpose for asking is para may idea na ako when indeed ill buy a kit. Anyway, just a comment lang...

good day to all

I think it has something to do with protecting the confidentiality of their prices. Though the modeling community is relatively small here, competition is very tough. It may be that Lil's has received calls from competitors comparing prices. I understand you point (& that of Jeepney) but this is a business decision that Lil's has taken & we all have to live with it.

I myself, encountered this from them many years ago. A solution is to get to know the manager of the store & ask for him or her when you call for prices. Another is to post an enquiry in Armorama as many members frequent the hobby shops & can probably help you obtain prices.

Hope this helps.
