hey Gi thanks for the number. But the thing is ,when i called Lils park square about the units and prices, i was surprised na hindi raw nila sinsabi sa phone ang price nila. You must come over daw to know the price.

Why is that? is not a big deal naman, the purpose for asking is para may idea na ako when indeed ill buy a kit. Anyway, just a comment lang...

good day to all

.... to attract "more customers" to their shop

Tanker25, try STC or Lils. They both have the Academy Mk. III - the only kit I know of that vehicle in plastic

I'm looking for either a shop or a person that sells:

Tamiya Centurion
Tamiya 1/35 Modern US Accessories (the latest set)
Tamiya or Zvezda T-72
Zvezda BTR-80 or -70
AFV Club Scimitar
Italeri LVT(A)1 Alligator

Paasche Airbrush supplies (specifically, siphon jar caps)

AFV 3513 CRVT FV107 Scimitar is US$22.50, pero "out of production" na daw. Meron pa sila Scorpion, US$27.50 naman. Yung Centurion at Tam.Mod.

Shonen, I'm thinking if the interior of your Bradley doesn't need to be spot-on accurate, then you could cannibalize a cheap Academy Bradley for the interior... I think someone did this in a Finescale Modeler article, it's probably cheaper than any AM alternatives (though not as accurate) and you get a spare Bradley exterior to boot...

Ack! Blitz! A million thanks to the reference! I'm on to superdetailing my Brad. Thanks for the pics!

They look kinda toyish without the internal details.

I have that kit. I bought it from Lil' s more than 15 years ago. I haven't gotten aroun dbuilding it yet though I already started on the cockpit section. The rats ate parts of the box but the contents are intact plus the decals and PE parts.

I bought it around that time as well. That was my very first kit, and I ruined it, hehe

Know anyone else who has it?

Hobbies and Comics in MCS has a dinosaur model, though sadly, not a Velociraptor eh. And IIRC, it wasn't a Tamiya kit. So there.

HTH.

Off the top of my head, I think one can procure some bottles from the local junkyard, although these might be industrial grade/commercial grade "garapons". Hehe! I've seen some modelers use old medicine bottles, the brown ones. Pwede ren siguro mga film-canisters?

Thanks, but what I'm looking for are those bottles na sakto para sa airbrush. I've noticed kasi mas marami akong nauubos na paint dahil sa pag-timpla and then transfer sa paint bottle na gamit ng airbrush ko.... and then balik sa storage bottle yung natirang paint so you can use the same bottle for a different color. Parang hassle diba? What do the other people do here to bypass the paint-transferring process from bottle to bottle?

Most people here have Badger airbrushes so di ko alam paano nila ginagawa. Basta ako disaster area talaga when I paint sa daming spills and drips.

What AB are you using?

Ang ginagawa ko muna is to add the dominant color then drop by drop yung mixing color until it matches.

Try this technique: (enamels gamit ko nito)

1. Add thinner to the mixing pallete
2. Add the dominant color
3. Add the mixing color
4. Mix together and dilute with thinner
5. Pour EVERYTHING to the bottle

Ok, diluted sya? Wait for an hour or so until some thinner dry up. I've tried this once on my red-brown paint and it looks A-ok. Kailangan mo nga lang ng patience dito. That way, di masasayang yung paint, thinner nga lang problema mo.

Hope this helps

PS, do not return used paint unless you'll use that bottle as another color (e.g red, tapos ginawa mong red brown yung whole container.)

After a while ma-estimate mo na rin kung gaano ka-daming paint ang kelangan for a particular model size so practice lang yan

Here's something I learned from "Beakman's World" (or "Newton's Apple" - can't remember. Many moons ago):

As you will see, the stick forms a path for the liquid to flow on to (something to do with surface tension - forgot my physics). Thus, the liquid will not cascade on the source bottle's undersides but on the stick to the other bottle. If your hands are steady, you won't experience any spillage.

As for the paint jars, if your AB is Gunze, the Gunze paint bottles can fit on the Gunze's color bottle cap with siphon. For other ABs, there are two different sized bottles with screw caps available at National Bookstore, art section. These cost around P20 IIRC.

Another is to rig up a "quick install" paint jar by using clear film cannisters, some brass or metal tubes, solder or epoxy putty. Just make two holes on the film's cap (one small one for the air's entry, one big one which the siphon assembly will be placed). (see diagram below)

The siphon is plastic tubing which is available at most hardware stores or you can just transfer the siphon from the original jar to the homemade one. This little project I got from IPMS-Sweden I think.
