I am quite new to the site, and I newly realized that here is a "hello I came here today" kind of forum. I am an architect from Turkey, started making models before I knew myself. I have already posted a couple of thing to Diorama forum and some reviews of kits. I am planning a big diorama, you can search and find it, I posted some drawings about it.

But I will not be able to start building it at this time, as I have to join the Air Force here for 6 months (yes, it is a duty and I have to do it... there is no escape...). So, this "hello" message is in fact a "goodbye" message. I will be departing in a couple of hours, so if you write any replies, I will only be able to read them 1 month later. I promise to return with my project getting underway.

Keep the site clean, soldiers... Caanbash, over and out!

Well, Caanbash, you certainly have a good sense of drama. I think the airforce will be more fun than you suspect. Enjoy !

Good luck with your tour of duty and we all wish you a safe return. Looking forward to your big dio as it looked quite promising with the "sketch" model!

May your skies always be clear.... if not, use your IFR.

Be safe... be proud.

As my good friend Kenc' said....pay attention, and try to remember these upcoming times. Unless you've been conscripted by some kind of 'War Lord' you will build and establish bonds during your tour that you will never duplicate anywhere else, precisely because you have been thrust into such a demanding situation!
Also, insist upon yourself to always have an open mind about the places you go,and the people you meet.

And remember, this is not 'Good Bye'.....it is "Auf Weidersein!" (We'll see you again)

Tread.
