I’m really sorry to pass on the bad news that, very sadly, my dad Steve Cruickshank (Barv) passed away suddenly last night, the 18th of August at 8pm.
 Steve was well known for his incredible scratch built models, his sense of humour and his willingness to always help out others.
Obviously everyone is still in a state of shock at the moment and as more information becomes available I will pass it on.

He may be gone but I,m sure others will pass on his knowledge and remember him as the guy who if you gave him a piece of plastic and some glue he would build you something of interest (but no bang bangs

 )
I hope he inspired others to come over to the Dark Side

  and give scratching a go

Courtney and my self's condolences go to you and your family Steve.
Barv was one of the nicest, friendliest and funniest people you could hope to meet. He will be missed by all who knew him, and boy could he build a model.

Dear Megan and Steve and the rest of Barv's family , I am deeply sadened by the news of a true gentleman of the first order passing away. I have known Steve for a good many years , and always found his friendly manner a refreshing start to any model show he and Megan attended, I will miss his smile and the banter as much as his model making skills . So on behalf of Linda and myself . I will raise a glass in his memory and toast to a true friend and fellow scratchbuilder . Please pass on to Megan and all in your family , our heartfelt sympathy and this very sad time . Ian and Linda Sadler IPMS Armour TAS .
