Hi Steve. Im very sorry to hear of your loss ... and in a way ... its a loss for all of us. I really enjoyed your fathers posts and his "original" writing style ... aye!!, and if his builds didn´t inspire, his happy and good nature did.
He was a big part of Armorama this last few years and will be sorley missed. My condolences to you and your family. /Frank

barv and his good wife came to our show a couple of months back , he came early set up and modelled all day , his table was surrounded by people wanting to know how he did this and how he did that , i sat at our display watching all this and thinking he ain't gonna get nothing done , so we went outside for a coffee and some fresh air and barv says talking to people at shows is something he loved , talking to folks who understand what you are talking about and understand what you are trying to convey is the best thing there is . god bless barv you will be sadly missed , and my deepest sympathy to Steve Jr and all the family , from tony and the boys from the Washington model club.

Dear Steve!

I did not know your father personally, but he was a great inspiration for all of us! My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Barv will be missed, but never forgotten!

I will never forget his "Aye" at the end of his postings.

Sincerly,

I can only say I am sorry I didnt get to know Steve personally while he was here. However I did always enjoy his work and if anyone around here was the god of scratch building, it would be him. Perhaps he's even giving lessons to the man upstairs right now I will definitely miss seeing his work, and will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

Steve
My condolences go out to you and your family. I only got speak with your dad a couple of times on email when I offered him the pics and info on a rare cold war Canadian wrecker. I almost had to wipe the drool off the computer when he responded " yah, yah, yah" . Like me he enjoyed the other side of the military, the support services and it didn't need a main gun to be interesting. He and his builds will be missed

Condolences to you and the family.

I talked with Steve online a few times and he was a great guy. I never did any major scratch building projects but whenever I couldn’t figure out how to make a lost piece or add something to a model he was always willing to help. And I always looked foreword to seeing the fantastic models he did.
He will be missed.
