when i get a reply to a question ive posted or get some feedback on one of my creations i usually look at the profile of the person that has replied to me.usually but not always the section were you write a bit about yourself seems to be blank. what i am interested in, is we all have a common interest but we all come from differen't backgrounds. so what do you do for a day job maybe your a tank commander or a real life 007(you'd be a fool to tell us) so come on what do you do when your not building your latest afv...

I'm a building engineer and take care of a couple of office buildings. We handle all of the HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. The patience that I have developed by dealing with 1000 prima donna office workers has helped me immensely with my modeling!

I basically do the same as Cary, but besides the 1000 prima donna office workers, I got 600 psychiatric patients that live there, to worry about also. Plus a few sub-ordinates that fall into the patient category.

Just like the Navy, it's not a job, it's an adventure!

Im a development engineer in a packaging R&D group, for a German medical company.
So plastic at work and play!!

A similar thread to this ran on Missing Links about 6 months ago. It ended up with about 50% of the modellers, being engineers, of one kind or another.

I'm a process unit operator at a chemical plant. I make catalysts that are loaded into refinery reactors to clean, breakdown, and reform crude oil into fuels and lubes. I also run another unit that makes catalysts that turn waste streams of Benzene into Styrene resins. . Being a Senior Operator I sometimes get to train and evaluate new operators and.................new chemical process engineers. God Bless you Propeller Heads! The most entertaining of God's children that walk the halls aimlessly.
cheers!

I build towers and stand monopoles for telecommunications companies like at&t,TMobile,Sprint,Verizon,MetroPCS. Then I climb them and install the coax and antennas. .There was a program called "Tower Dogs" I think, that shows the line of work I do. I havent seen it but I heard that a chick was running the crew ...My kind of woman!

That's what Mrs. Wombat does. You have my sympathy

I used to write software. Now I'm a full-time college student again. Curiously, my available modeling time has dropped significantly...

By trade I am or was a Graphic Designer and Creative Director.
But now I'm a Principal Procurement Officer and Creative Manager in local government.

Different title but much the same.

Cheers
