Hi Jomz:
Send me an email of what you would want to have, a wish list of sorts and I'll see what I can do. We make orders to the online shops as a group para mura ang shipping.

Sure Shonen. Let me know what Harriers you want and their corrsponding PE sets or cockpit sets. Actually I have an Airfix 1/24th Harrier Gr.3 in the US kaya lang wala pa akong mahanap na mag-uuwi dahil sa laki ng box! Let's see what we can find.

Bull,
Whatever happened to Fred Cajulis? Indeed, his shop was one of a kind- back when I was still a med student, I went there from CAvite just to see what was new. There were even books or magazines you can read there, right?
Edwin Pao had a hobby shop too near Winstons in Sta Cruz. Does anyone know if Edwin resumed operations or not? Last I heard of him was in 96, he was into the tire business...

I am not sure if it was him who joined the IDF Forum(Yahoo Group).. he never opened his shop again. You might have also met Jojo Nicholas..
Hey!!!! I just remember IPMS-BAC use to have their meeting in Greenbelt, at the 3rd floor of Goodwill Bookstore(think that was '95 or '96). and there was this "Guy" who was minding the models and other military stuff Delbros consigned to Goodwill...Nasan na si TED VARGAS haaaaa!!!!! heheheh

Jepot:
No idea on Fred's whereabouts. i asked Talie very recently and it's been a while since fred dropped by. As for Edwin Pao, no idea too.
Blitz:
You really know the guys around! Jojo I believe is connected with the distributor of Zoids in the Phlippines. Don't know if he still builds models but is a very good builder. The last I heard of Ted Vargas was that he was working for Mr. Tobiano, a collector whose collection of built models has reached well into the 6-700s, probably even more by now! Those meetings at Goodwill were because of the exhibit put there by IPMS and other builders. That was about the time I joined IPMS. I wanted to build like they did.
After 8 years, I still have to build like they do!

1/24th Harrier! Isa sa mga wishlist ko yan.
Here's mine
1/24 Sea Harrier by Airfix
1/35 M2A2 ODS by Tamiya
1/35 M113 ODS by Tamiya
1/48 AV-8B Harrier II Plus by Hasegawa
1/48 AV-8B Harrier by Revell Monogram
Tell me how each cost so I could adjust.

Bull,
Jojo and I worked together for K'Nex, I think that was 8 yrs ago.. I resigned from K'Nex much earlier because of LBM reasons ( looking for better management) and ended up in Doha Qatar. Working as an Architectural Modelmaker and later on as a 3D Renderer/Graphics specialist. During those times with K'Nex we always have mall exhibits. So if we're in Shangri-la, we always make it a point to drop by your store and the train shop.. :-)
Yes, I think Jojo doesn't build anymore or if so, he might be building models for Mr. William Soon

Yes I remember K'nex and Jojo did work with that company. I remember their displays at World of Toys. Sayang I should have met you. My days in ShangriLa were some of the best days in my life. I really miss that store. And I've also heard of William Soon. The man with the whole Taiwanese Air Force I believe
. Jojo's bare metal finishes were the ones that caught my eye in the Goodwill Bookstore exhibit. During that time, the owners of Italeri were here for a visit and I brought them there. They were also amazed at the kits on display. Always good to talk about the good old days. Although another sign of age!
If you ever come home for a visit, please look me up. I guess introductions are long overdue.

Shonen,
This should interest you. Trumpeter is coming out with a 1/32nd Harrier, kit#2229. This is good news for us since Trumpeter kits are already being imported by Lil's. I'll keep an eye out for this one. Although a tad smaller than 1/24th, it should be better in detail than Airfix. Revell is also re-issuing their AV-8B Harrier coupled with a book, similar to what they have already done with the F9F Panther and F-105G. Hasegawa's Harrier isn't out yet but that should be worth looking at. :-)
BTW, I sent you another PM. Did you get it?

Yep, got that. I've been waiting for the 1/32 Harrier and the good thing is, it's the AV-8B. Thanks for the added info. I'll reply to your pm soon.

STC has got to have the biggest "patong" with regards to Tamiya kits. The new Xanavi Nissan Skyline R34 kit sells at Lil's for oh around 680 last time I checked, STC sells it for around 1,300! Haha! Even more expensive than the usual FUJIMI price of 1,200.

Well what do you know? Last time I buy the Academy 1/35 M966 TOW in STC Filinvest, it cost 600. Now look at it! It's P300!!! I agree with jomz, mahal nga ang Tammy kits nila. A-10 1/72 is 600 ata and in other stores P450 lang

Did a quick recon of Hobbies and Comics (or Comics and Hobbies?
) yesterday. Usual selection although may mga dusty old boxes na interesting. Di ganun ka-extensive ang lineup and the prices are almost the same.

I see. Taiwanese pa, eh? I figured him to be of Mainland origin and his models PLA collection. I don't think he's ever gonna commission me to build models for him because of my association with my master whom he despises.

The best thing to do is not to mention your master..:-) Mr. Soon is really a nice person and who knows you might get commision to do his AFV's.. The best person to talk to is Pinggoy Malay.. I think Ping also does his models(ships, of course), and if Jojo Nicholas is clocked up with William's aircrafts. I have no idea who's doing his AFV's, right now..Anyway keep me posted..

Really? Whenever we see him, he doesn't look like it. But still, there's more than meets the eye over here.
Yes, Ping is one of us (BAC). :-)

Welcome CSMeekai!!!
Saan ka sa Visayas?
Try mo sa National Bookstore baka may available doon. Hanapin mo "Scopa" na brand for inkjets. Kung wala talaga we can send you some sheets via LBC para mabilis.
