A few months shy of 37.... 37? I remember when my mom was 37!!! OH NO!!!! I guess I'll need to go out and buy a 1/25 scale red convertible, and one of those phoenix follies figs to put into it for my midlife crisis!

I am 34, and I feel like a kid when I open a new kit box. I have gotten advices on modeling, from 16 y/o kids who have great ideas on how to solve a particular modeling problem.
This hobby is for all of us, kids in the heart.

Then you'll get a job and a wife to suck both of those away. Just kidding. At least the missus puts up with it.

I turned 40 a few months ago. I finally have the money to afford this hobby in style but I'm also father now and have precious little time these days to build. By the the time my kids are grown and gone my eyesight and arthritis will be too bad to build. Life just ain't fair to the modeler!

I'm the big Four-Two (42 for you Fluvians and wolves) and loving every minute of getting gray hair, aches and pains, weak joints. But I do love the GREAT LEAP in model manufacturing technology that has occured over the last 25 years. I've been building models since I was 6! All hail Tamiya! SGT_Fubar

I'm 52. This has been a very interesting thread... maybe we half-century plus types can form a group of our own, if we can bet it organized before the senility kicks in....

I'll be 44 in October.
At by current rate of buying and building kits, I'll have to live about 440 years to finish them all.
Kinda wish I was a 22 year old sergeant again -- over in Iraq sucking dust in a convoy to Baghdad. Of course, I'd want to know what I know now -- not what I thought I knew then. Ah, wasted youth ...
